LightRider Bitless Bridles

LightRider Bitless Bridles 'Go Bitless - Go Better'
In a LightRider Bitless Bridle
A bit less will give you a lot more!

LightRider Bitless Bridles are a gentle solution to riding in a way that replicates a bitted bridle, but without a bit. The direct, effective communication via nose and chinstrap allows the rider to use lighter rein aids. The unique chinstrap releases when the rein does, giving the horse maximum comfort while the rider has excellent control.

This looks like a good way to start bitless riding too. 😊

How many of you have thought about taking the plunge into bridleless riding since the U.K. comp? Or have you already started working towards it?

If you want to do it in a positive way then consider picking up my book! It’s very user friendly with a section on the basics of positive reinforcement training and then it goes on to how you put that into practise for bridleless riding.

'Happy Pony, Happy Rider' Review: "I just wanted to say how much I’m enjoying my Performer bitless bridle. Bob has really started to round and soften beautifully — it’s clear, direct, and an excellent training tool.
The bridle itself works beautifully. I can stop easily, and even when he throws in one of his big bucks, I’m able to bring him back quickly — which gives me great confidence.
It’s been an excellent training aid, and I really appreciate how much thought has gone into its design.
Thank you so much for all you do — your designs have really changed how we ride together." Emma.

The great thing about the LightRider Performer bitless bridle is its versatility. This includes how you choose to use it.
Stef of Roadhorse fame loves hers and uses them for her long-distance travels.
"I love your bridles! Mainly because they look cool 😎 and the different colour combos are great! I like the browband (helps keep halter in place) and padded noseband.
I love the double clip reins, so I don't have to untie a knot all the time. 😅"
She chooses not to use the chinstrap because her horses all seem happier with it connected to the bottom.

In my last post I talked about worming horses out of habit — and why that calendar-based approach is something we really need to move away from. I promised to follow up with the *how* — specifically, how you actually measure what’s going on with your horse’s worm burden. That’s where the F***l Egg Count (FEC) comes in.
If you haven’t heard of one before, don’t worry. By the end of this post, you’ll know exactly what it is, how it’s done, and how to get one — whether you want someone else to handle it or you’d like to give it a go yourself.

Good to know - 5* review from Sara on the Amalia Bridle: "Well made, feels robust and looks nice. The warmblood size fits my big Percheron mare, unlike many other brands which were too small."
