Surf life savers, mark down the morning of Saturday the 10th October for a good hit out at Redhead Beach. Four events for Youth through Open competitors, a week prior to the Coolangatta Gold. Over $5k in prize money, the second instalment of the Ashmarc Surf Challenge promises close racing in both individual and team formats.

With heavy hearts, we sadly have to let our club members know that one of our long-time members, Don Blatchford, has passed away at the age of 84.

Don was a valued club member, competitor, and great mate to many of us.

He was always happy and ready to lend a hand around the Boat Shed, and was a regular face enjoying a b**r and a yarn at Stubbies on a Sunday.

In one final generous gesture to the club, Don donated his ski and paddle to assist future beginner club paddlers.

We will miss you, Donny. ❤️

Rest easy, mate.
