π A Huge Day of Recognition for Redcliffe Peninsula SLSC! β€οΈπ
Congratulations to Millie Hunter (left) on being named the 2026 Sunshine Coast Branch Under 14 Junior Lifesaver of the Year at last night's Surf Life Saving Sunshine Coast Awards of Excellence! π
This prestigious award recognises Millie's outstanding commitment to surf lifesaving, dedication to training, excellence in competition, leadership, and the positive example she sets for her fellow members. Millie truly embodies the values of Surf Life Saving, and we couldn't be prouder of this well-deserved achievement.
We also extend our congratulations to Millie and her R&R partner Agatha McGoon (right), who were honoured as the inaugural recipients of the Spirit of Sport Award.
This special award recognises the way they conduct themselves in competition, demonstrating respect, sportsmanship, humility and encouragement of others. Millie and Agatha have played a significant role in creating the positive, supportive culture that makes the Rescue & Resuscitation (R&R) community so special. They are wonderful ambassadors for our club and Surf Life Saving.
Finally, congratulations to Jess Hunter, who received a High Commendation in the prestigious Volunteer of the Year Award.
As Millie's mum and the coach of both Millie and Agatha, Jess has devoted countless hours to developing young lifesavers and fostering an environment where every member can thrive. Her passion, leadership and commitment to our club and the R&R program continue to inspire everyone around her, and this recognition is thoroughly deserved.
Congratulations to Millie, Agatha and Jess on these outstanding achievements. Your dedication, leadership and sportsmanship make Redcliffe Peninsula Surf Life Saving Club incredibly proud.
