♦️ UNIFORMS
Returning Athletes: Returning athletes please wear full club uniform.
New Athletes: New athletes have 4 weeks from registration to be in full uniform. Wear comfy/ sporty clothes with appropriate runners, until you have purchased your uniform.
♦️ SHOES & SPIKES
Spikes can ONLY be worn whilst running, and must be taken off immediately after the athlete has finished their track event. If your little athlete wears spikes for their track events, please ensure they have a second pair of sports shoes to wear for other events and the rest of the evening.
♦️ WATER BOTTLES
Don’t forget to bring your water bottles!
Please ensure your water bottles are labeled!
♦️ PARENT HELP REQUIRED!
We require parent assistance to run club competitions! Please volunteer to help as an age group assistant, or to assist with pack up at the end of the evening.
Events will NOT start for an age group, if there are not enough parent volunteers for that age group.
If you have multiple children attending, we recommend helping your youngest child with their age group.
☑️ AGE GROUP ASSISTANTS
We need 4 parent helpers per age group. If you can, please volunteer to assist with your child’s age group when you arrive.
☑️ PHOTO FINISH
We need extra volunteers willing to learn the photo finish application and take turns assisting with track events. If you’re able to assist please let us know!
☑️ EQUIPMENT - PACK UP
We require at least 2 parents to assist with pack up at the end of the evening.
♦️PARENT SUPERVISION REQUIRED!
Little Athletics is not a ‘drop & go’ activity unlike other sporting clubs. At least one parent or guardian MUST remain on site with their child/ren during club training or competitions.
♦️ RESULTS HQ
Results from Friday night competitions need to be manually entered into the Results HQ system. This can be quite a time consuming task, please be patient with our volunteers, and rest assured all athlete results are kept on file.
♦️ CLUB GROUNDS & FIELD RULES
➡️ KEEP THE FIELDS CLEAR - Do not bring folding chairs, portable tables or wagons/carts onto the field. No balls or other sporting equipment on field. All equipment required for track and field events will be supplied and set up.
➡️ MIND THE EQUIPMENT - No children playing on athletics equipment during set up, or while waiting for events to start. Children may play on the playground and the areas directly surrounding the playground until events start.
➡️ WATCH WHERE YOU STAND - Children who are not participating or parents who are not assisting, please be sure not to block or walk through, track and field events.
➡️ NO DOGS - No dogs or other pets permitted on club grounds or fields. No dogs or pets to be left in vehicles during competition evenings. Please leave your pets at home.
➡️ KEPT IT FAMILY FRIENDLY - No smoking or alcohol consumption on club grounds or fields.
♦️ WE ARE VOLUNTEER RUN
A friendly reminder that Redcliffe Little Athletics is solely run by volunteers, including committee members. Without our volunteers, we can’t run the club. Please keep this in mind and show our volunteers kindness & support.
