Not my first wine for the trip 😂We're at the Lakes Entrance Bowling Club. The sea is behind us. We're here for the week might see if I can have a roll!

With the World Bowls Over 55 Sunraysia Classic event starting this coming Sunday, Saturday Pennant will not be played this week.

We will have Saturday Social Bowls instead, starting at 1 pm followed by a BBQ afterwards. Entry sheet is up on outside noticeboard, names in by 12pm Saturday.

Visitors to the area for the World Bowls event are most welcome to join us in playing.

Saturday Pennant results...

1st Division played host to Workers, and in a hard fought game, Red Cliffs got their first overall win for the season with a 2 rinks to 1 and +11 shots up result.

3rd Division, after winning their first two games of the season, were away to Irymple, and in a very close tussle, went diwn by 3 shots overall but winning 1 rink.

4th Division:
Team 3 were away to Irymple as well, and in another hard fought contest managed to make it 3 in a row with the Young Guns leading the way for an overall 7 shot win.

Team 4 were away to Coomealla, and were very roundly beaten by 47 shots overall.

All teams have a bye next Saturday due to the World Bowls tournament starting next weekend.

So much fun...

Club members Michael Clifford and Shawn Fullerton teamed up with Mildura Bowling Club member Bernard McCarthy today to play in the triples event held at Renmark Lawns Bowling Club.

On a rain impacted heavy surface that did eventually pick up some resonable speed as the day progressed, they played like a champion team winning their first 2 games by big margins.

But they struggled in the last game when the conditions became heavy again and some weariness set in, and dropped the last game by 4 shots.

On a positive note, the crowd got to hear Michael and Shawn let rip with "Jeremiah was a bullfrog" across the greens and wake everyone up when Shawn played a big drive and sunk the jack and his bowl in the sand right next to each other!

They had both been waiting for the right moment all day to bring some Joy to the World...

And it did!
