Members out and about on the greens...

Some of the action of club members Shawn, Luke, Michael and Mildura Bowls Club member Isaiah at the undercover greens of Moama as they had a crack at the Australian Indoor Qualifying event on the weekend.

On a very cold Sunday morning, club member Michael made it through to the quarter finals of the Australian Indoor Qualifying event at Moama, after winning his group round on Saturday.

He won his first game Sunday morning, putting him into the quarter finals, and that's where the dream stopped.

Well done for making the last 8 in the tournament that included eventual winner Cameron Wilson, brother of Australian superstar Aaron Wilson.

Just as a side note, Cameron looks just like his brother and bowled just as well as him.

Club members Shawn Fullerton , Luke Sav Milne and Michael Clifford, along with Isaiah Bettes from Mildura Bowls Club, took part in the qualifying rounds for the Australian Indoor bowls competition at Moama today.

Shawn and Luke were competitive in their groups, but just didn't quite get over the line in either match.

Michael and Isaiah were drawn in the same group, and played each other in the final game of their group, with the winner to prigress through to the final 16.

An epic match ensued, with Isaiah putting on a clinic in the first set, taking it 11-4.

But Michael fought back in the second set, taking it 9-5, and forcing a 3 end tie breaker.

2 all after 2 ends, Michael was able to put one close with his first bowl, and despite his best attempts, Isaiah just couldn't beat it.

So Michael held on to win the tiebreaker 3-2 and advancing through to the final 16 and the knock-out games tomorrow.
