JSRA Wind Up & Awards Night🏅

Last night we had the privilege of attending the JSRA Wind Up & Awards Night, celebrating not only Lillian's very first season of racing with the Junior Speedway Racing Association, but also an incredible group of young drivers who have found a passion for the sport they love.

We couldn't be more proud of Lillian, who was presented with the 🏆Encouragement Award🏆 in recognition of her determination, consistency, improvement and perseverance throughout the season. Watching her grow in confidence every time she hits the track has been such a rewarding experience.

Racing isn't easy. It takes courage to line up alongside 10+ other competitors, navigate a slippery dirt track in a manual car with no power steering, and keep pushing yourself lap after lap. Yet somehow she does it all with a smile on her face. Her calm, collected attitude reminds us that success isn't always measured by race wins, sometimes it's about showing up, giving it your all, learning, and never giving up.

A huge thank you to the JSRA committee for putting together such a fantastic night filled with great food and entertainment. Special shout-out to the Martinelli and van der Mey families for the countless hours they've dedicated throughout the season. The effort that goes into making every race meeting special for the kids does not go unnoticed. We especially love how the siblings are acknowledged and included every step of the way. It really is a family racing team.

This season has taken us on an incredible journey:

🏁 9 race meetings
🏁 6 different tracks
🏁 Thousands of kilometres travelled
🏁 Countless memories shared
🏁 Lifelong friendship made

What an amazing first season it's been. We can't wait to hit the road and do it all again next season! The count down to October begins.

So proud of you, Lillian 🩷💜💙

And that's a wrap!
The 2025/2026 season is officially over for Pedersen Motorsports.

While our crew chief spent the day playing in a different sort of dirt, the rest of the family was up bright and early for the 3hr trek to Pithara Speedway with the #7. What an amazing track this is.

Lillian started off pole for the first heat but had some slight troubles with the clutch and finding her groove in what turned out to be a bit of a slippery track. She stayed consistent, sticking to her line and gaining confidence on each lap as she got a feel for the track.

Heat 2 saw Lillian starting rear of the field. With a few drivers finding their confidence, the pack spilt in 2 early on. Lillian did her thing, had a great battle with the few cars around her and crossed the finish line with a big smile on her face.

To mix things up, Lillian started right in the middle of the pack for the feature. Unfortunately trouble found her on the first corner with another car giving her a decent side bump, (She then executed the perfect pit manoeuvre which i'm sure Uncle Ryan would be proud of that) and the yellows came on. With all that was happening and everything to concentrate on, the fan may have been forgotten and the remaining 15 laps tested the little engine. She came in hot!!! ❤️‍🔥

We are confident that it will live to see another day and Mumanager was happy that the car came off the track straight enough to go back on the trailer.

We are so incredibly proud of Lillian and how much she has grown over this season. For us, success is not all about winning, it's about progress. For our cautious kid, it has been great to see her push herself out of her comfort zone and find something that she has fallen in love with. We can't wait to see her back on the track next season.

Thank you to Nanny for making the trek with us, your support and encouragment and keeping the kids entertained. We love you 🥰

We couldn't do this with out our sponsors. We are super proud to showcase these businesses everytime we hit the track! We would love your support again for next year. If you have a business that may be interested in sponsoring our team, please get in touch!

Thanks to the committee at for an awesome season.

It's hard to believe that the 2025/2026 season is almost over!

This Saturday, we will be making our way to Pithara Speedway where Lillian will be taking the #7 Junior Sedan out for it's final spin before we have a well needed break (well Mum does anyway).

From all the team at Pedersen Motorsports, we want to thank everyone for the continued encouragment and support we've received through out the year and we are incredibly grateful to have you all involved in the start of Lillian's racing journey.

With the 2026/2027 only a few months away, we would like to invite expressions of interest from potential sponsors. If you’re interested in supporting a passionate and dedicated racing team, we’d love to hear from you.

This!!!

It may seem like an expensive hobby but it is worth every cent!

“That’s way too much to spend on junior motorsport…”

Maybe.

But some people spend money on weekends away.
Fancy dinners.
New cars.
We choose race fuel, tyres, entry fees, and late nights in the shed.

Because this isn’t just a sport.

This is where kids learn resilience.
How to lose with grace.
How to win with humility.
How to keep showing up when things don’t go their way.

Junior motorsport teaches responsibility, confidence, patience, and grit — lessons that last long after the chequered flag falls.

Behind every junior driver is a family making sacrifices.
Early mornings. Long drives. Dirty hands. Tight budgets.
All for a few laps around a track… and a lifetime of memories.

We’re not just investing in racing.

We’re investing in who they’re becoming. 🩷🏁

Happiest of Birthdays to our Junior driver Lillian!

We are not surprised at all that you chose to spend your day looking at race cars and then getting back on a track for go karting this afternoon.

We are so incredibly proud of you and the journey you are on! 💜🩷💙

This is what racing in Margaret River looks like for Pedersen Motorsports.

Both cars and the caravan are locked and loaded ready to hit the road in the morning for ANZAC Day at Augusta Margaret River Speedway.

Racing from 5pm

Thank you to our parents for being the extra tow vehicle so we can get all this down there and do the thing that we love!

Incredibly proud of Lillian after her run at Moora Speedway last night. She found her groove, built speed across the night, and even got stuck into a close battle out on track. While she’s still working her way forward through the field, the progress is clear — growing confidence, consistent laps, and smart driving. She’s holding her line, staying predictable, and steering clear of the chaos that can unfold, bringing the car home straight every time. That’s a win in itself 🏆

Big thanks to all the drivers and their families for putting on a solid night of racing and getting the cars out there.

IT'S RACE DAY🏁

All set up ready to make the #7 dirty at Moora Speedway

We want to take this opportunity to thank each and everyone of our sponsors. All these businesses took a chance and decided to get behind a little girl who had a dream of learning how to race cars.

It takes guts to get behind the wheel of a full size car at the age of 11 but it takes a team to get her on the track and we couldn't do it with out the generous support from these people.

Head over to their pages, give them a like and check out all the awesome work they produce and how the contribute to make our communities a better place to live.

The end of the season was shaping up to be a big one for both the #88 and #7, but weather, lower car counts after the recent DMAWA State Title, and ongoing fuel uncertainty have seen a few changes to the schedule.

But never fear race fans, the #7 is back on track tomorrow night at Moora Speedway for the second last round for JSRA. From there, we head back to Trade Hire Augusta Margaret River Speedway on ANZAC Day, Saturday 25 April, for the final round of the DMAWA (V8 Dirt Modifieds WA) season, before wrapping things up at Pithara Speedway on Saturday 16 May.

Off track, one of our beloved family members has recently started their fight against Breast Cancer and while we know how strong this person is and how hard they will fight, it is a reminder of how many people are affected by this awful disease.

Both cars will proudly be wearing a pink ribbon in support of the on going fight that not only our loved one and family are facing but for everyone who knows someone, knows of someone or loved someone with Breast Cancer 🎀

We’ve been blown away by the support this season and can not thank each and every one of you enough. Our amazing supporters, Lillian's legends and our incredible sponsors who make it all possible 💙🩷

The weekend that was.. or almost was

Margaret River Easter showcase and V8 Dirt Modified State Title

With the #7 Junior Sedan parked in the shed, the Pedersen crew hit the road to Margaret River for an epic 2-night battle to stake our claim for the WA1 title.

Good Friday
The pressure was on from the get go. All the drivers proved that they came ready for a fight and were not going to give an inch to become State champion.

The #88 came out strong in the first heat, charging from 5th position to bring it home in 3rd.
Heat 2 saw Raz dominate, leading from start to finish.
The preliminary feature saw Raz in pole position and despite the #88 having some over fueling issues dropping him down to 3rd, Raz really was on fire (literally)!

Easter Sunday - WA State Title
Sunday night was set up for an epic battle.
After some readjustments and spare parts from TKR Racing (thanks guys!), the #88 roared in to action and was ready to race.
Heat 1 - Raz started in 5th and crossed the line in 2nd place
Heat 2 was a repeat of Friday night to bring home another win which meant FBR Racing claimed both 1st and 2nd position in the almighty feature. It was shaping up to be an epic 25 lap showdown with the defending WA1 right behind them.

Kris took an early lead but Raz stayed hot on his tail. Lap 15 saw yellows which brought the pack back together. As soon as those greens came on, Raz saw his opportunity and stole 1st place. The battle was on!! Foot flat, Raz was off BUT the night ended in a cloud of smoke and steam (and a few explicit words from both driver and team) all because a lousy bolt had come loose from the exhaust 3 laps before the chequered flag (insert shattered hearts 💔)

Even though it wasn't our night, we could not be happier that our team mate Kris took home the title of WA1! He drove like an absolute champion all weekend and earned every bit of that title.

A special shout out to FBR - Falconbridge Racing for giving Raz the opportunity to fight for the title once more. Ricey Off Road for driving back and forth all weekend to capture this unmissable moment.

A huge thank you to all our crew, family, sponsors and supporters! We know every single one of you felt what we felt when the #88 had to pull in field.

But we will be back. Our fight is not over!
Kris, enjoy that number one while you can, because next year, it's ours!!
