Some stories are hard to put into words, this is one of them.
In April 2023, our daughter Charlotte’s world changed forever after a devastating ATV accident as a passenger. What followed were complex surgeries, months of rehabilitation, and the reality of ongoing nerve damage and daily pain. For many, that would have been the end. For her, it became the start of learning how to fight differently.
She returned to elite netball. She returned to circuit racing. She returned with grit, resilience, and an unbreakable love for sport.
This year brought more challenges, playing through constant pain, being targeted on a known injury, and ultimately making the incredibly difficult decision to undergo further surgery. Not to step away, but in hope. Hope for relief. Hope for improvement. Hope for a future with less pain.
Last week she went back into surgery. Then, just days before Christmas, complications meant she faced a second operation in just over a week. Her hand is now in a cast, her recovery once again uncertain. And yet she remains unshaken. For an elite athlete, this journey is not just physical. It is mental, emotional, and relentless. But time and time again, she shows that setbacks do not stop her, they shape her.
No matter the outcome. No matter the timeline. No matter the challenge. She will rise. She will adapt. And she will continue to chase the sports she loves, netball and motorsport, with everything she has.
We are endlessly proud of her strength, courage, and refusal to quit.
To all of our supporters and partners, this is what resilience looks like. This is what commitment looks like. Athletes like her deserve protection, belief, and opportunity, not silence. Support matters, and it makes a difference. Thank you to everyone who continues to stand with her on this journey. ❤️🏁💪🏽
