Western Swans are proud to support former member and Honorary Member, Linda Codd, as she organises a Memorial Night and GoFundMe fundraiser in memory of her late mother.

Linda made an enormous contribution to Western Swans during her time in Perth. From serving on the Hurling Sub-Committee to managing countless gear and jersey orders, she was always willing to put her hand up and help wherever needed. In recognition of her dedication and commitment to the club, Linda was made an Honorary Member of Western Swans in 2022.

While the Memorial Night will take place in Ireland, we'd love for our Swans community to get behind this wonderful cause by supporting the GoFundMe and sharing the fundraiser with family and friends.

Please join us in supporting Linda and honouring the memory of her mother. ❤️🖤💛

FULL TIME | Western Swans 7-19 (40) – 2-00 (6) Éire Óg

The final scoreline might suggest a comfortable afternoon, but this was anything but straightforward. Éire Óg played some serious camogie and didn't give our girls an inch, with the sides going score for score throughout the first half. At the break, there was just two points between the teams, with the Swans leading 1-2 to 1-0.

The second half was a completely different story. The girls raised the intensity all over the pitch and produced some outstanding camogie. Brilliant running off the ball, clever stick passing and consistently finding the player in the better position allowed us to create and take our scoring chances.

A special mention to the many girls making their first-ever appearance for the Swans, as well as those returning after some time away from the game. It was fantastic to see everyone contributing so positively and settling in so well.

The impact from the bench was also immense, with our substitutes contributing an incredible 3-6 and helping drive the team on when it mattered most.

Plenty of positives to take from the performance. On to the next one. ⚫🟡

FULL TIME | Western Swans 4-15 (27) – 2-27 (33) Sarsfields

A tough battle at RA Cooke Reserve today, with Sarsfields running out deserved winners. Their midfield dominated for long periods and provided the platform for them to take their scores with greater ease throughout the game.

Credit to our lads, who never stopped working and put in a strong team performance from start to finish. The forwards enjoyed a purple patch in the first half, taking their goal chances brilliantly and keeping us right in the contest.

In the end, were the better side on the day, but there were plenty of positives to take from the performance as we look ahead to the next round.
Thanks to everyone who came out to support the Black & Amber. 🖤💛

Full-time: Western Swans 2-18 Shamrocks 1-19 🦢

A proper battle yesterday, but the Swans got the job done.

It was a bit stop-start in the first half with plenty of frees going both ways, but the lads stuck at it, worked their way into the game, and put in a serious shift across the pitch.

When it was all in the melting pot, Rowan White popped up with the big moment — rattling the net for the decisive goal to see us over the line.

2 from 2 now as we head into the two-week break.

One of the best nights out last year is back 🦢🍻

Freo Bar Crawl — Saturday 23rd May.

Meet in JB O’Reilly’s at 2pm before we train down, party bus back to Northbridge, and enjoy an outrageous amount of craic in between.

Clear the calendar, round up the crew and don’t be the one hearing about it after.

League Round 1 done and dusted. Tough battle against St Gabriel’s ending in a narrow 2-5 to 1-12 loss.

A lot of new faces out there and for many it was their first time lining out together, but plenty of positives to take from it. Huge work rate, great attitude and plenty to build on heading into the next round.

Special mention to , our Management’s Player of the Match, who was outstanding on her Swans debut 👏🖤💛

Four absolute stalwarts of the Swans heading off on new adventures 💛🖤

& have been at the heart of this club the last few years. Always at training, always at the socials, always giving everything for the jersey and the people around them.

Katie set the standards for the camogie girls from the start — dragging us out of holes when needed, standing up when it mattered most in last year’s final, and helping drive the group on and off the pitch. From coffee dates to club nights, she was always organising and bringing people together.

Mark drove standards every night at training and pushed everyone around him to improve. Some of the points he scored over the years were outrageous and he was unmarkable on his day. A brilliant leader, always up for the craic, and somehow at every social event going. Gutted to see his last game end in injury and we’re wishing him a speedy recovery — we’ll be seeing him back out there again.

& have also been incredible servants to the club over the years and huge parts of the Swans community. Long-serving members who always gave their time, effort and support to the club whenever needed.

Best of luck to the four of ye in the next chapter. Once a Swan, always a Swan 🦢
