Was really happy with how the run went, I stuck with my plan for 4min run 1 min walk

I felt is was a lot more manageable that I was expecting. Which made me so happy 😁 Was hard to implement the walk at first when everyone kept running around me but I stuck with my plan and trusted the process :)

Happy dayz 😃 Wouldn’t have been possible if I didn’t get my head into the training and give it 100% - let’s see what’s in the pipeline for the next goal 🤔

The Road To 21km 🏃‍♀️

Last month of training there was a plot twist! I was getting sore knees and heavy legs. I felt the longer runs were nearly impossible and was no way I was ready to do 21km. My longest run was only 11km and felt like the was no way I could have done a KM further!

I got new shoes, got my feet reviewed - my feet turn inwards and strike the heel hard so took some advice on better supportive shoes and it really did make a big difference. Thanks for your advice I appreciate you xx

I tagged along with a running club, very fast runners way out of my league but really enjoyed it so much. Great group of people and great advice to try 4 mins run 1 min walk…. BEST life advice ever!

First time I tried I was at Woodbridge and did 13km, felt amazing and felt I could have done more when I finished! I was very surprised and also relived! Took away the anxiety of doing 21km and made me feel at ease about Sunday. And the pace was basically the same as a continuous run!!! Crazy? 🤪

I took away all the “tempo runs” and the “ “interval runs” and just focused on the new method so I didn’t get an injury on my knees. Seems to have done the trick 😃

The next run I did was an evening run around Optus, was the best run I did and felt really happy the whole way round, may have even got a runners high 😮
