🌟 Moora Toyota Horse Trials 2026 – Central Midlands Results! 🌟
What a massive weekend of eventing right on our doorstep! We are incredibly proud of all our past and present members, coaches, and family who went out there and gave it their absolute all. Here is a wrap-up of how our Central Midlands crew fared across the classes:

🐴 Current Member Riders Representing CMR&PC
* Kenzie Taylor (No. 106) & Keep It Hush (OTT): Competed in the PC45 - Topp Dogg class. Put in a great effort but unfortunately had an early end to their weekend with an elimination. We are still so proud of you for getting out there, Kenzie!

* Lydia Simmons (No. 110) & Mo: Also lined up in the PC45 - Topp Dogg class. Scored a lovely 57.8% in the dressage (42.2 penalties), but unfortunately faced an elimination during the jumping phases.

* Ruby Herbert (No. 165) & Ivy Rose: Took on the PC65 - Western Hay class. Performed a solid dressage test for 56.3% and jumped an awesome clear round in the Show Jumping! Unfortunately, cross country didn't go their way with an elimination, but brilliant riding nonetheless!

πŸŽ“ Interschools Qualification
* Hannah Rose (No. 41) & Clare Downs Amira: Competed as a current club member qualifying for the Interschools competition. They put in a fantastic, complete performance in the EvA80 - Junior class, finishing in 11th place with a total of 40.8 penalties!

πŸ† EA Competitor
* Keira Armstrong (No. 178) & Icelander (OTT): Rode in the EvA65 - Junior class. Keira showed great determination to complete all three phases, finishing in 5th place overall on a score of 108.6!

πŸ‘Ÿ Leadership & Coaches Leading by Example
* Annalise Duschka (No. 80 - Head Coach) & Murphy (OTT): Leading from the front in the EvA95 - OTT class! Annalise put down a beautiful dressage test to score 71.05% (29 pen) and finished on the podium in 3rd place overall on 42.2 penalties. What a superstar! 🌟

* Jessamy Palmer (No. 140 - Coach) & Courtland Collins: Showed us how it's done in the big CCN2*-S class! Jessamy delivered an excellent weekend of riding, including a clear cross-country run home within the time to finish 4th place on 41.1 penalties. Gorgeous riding!

πŸŽ“ Former Members Doing Us Proud
Once a Central Midlands member, always a Central Midlands member! It was fantastic to watch our club alumni absolutely smash it:

* Tegan Cook (No. 6) & JJ: Took out 1st place πŸ† in the EvA80 - Horseland Midland class! Tegan led from start to finish, winning on her brilliant dressage score of 74.72% (25.3 penalties).

* Georgia Homewood: Had a phenomenally busy and successful weekend, bringing home multiple top-5 ribbons across different classes!

- Soaring Lad (OTT) (No. 27): Claimed 3rd place πŸ₯‰ in the EvA80 - OTT class on a final score of 33.6 penalties, finishing on her exact dressage score after two double-clear jumping phases!

- Awesome Secret (OTT) (No. 215): Secured 2nd place πŸ₯ˆ in the EvV65 - OTT class, finishing on her dressage score of 35.3 penalties after clear rounds in both show jumping and cross country!

- Summit Trail (OTT) (No. 203): Earned 4th place in the EvV65 - OTT class with a fantastic clear cross-country run, finishing on 38.7 penalties!

* Brooke Kenny (No. 2) & Sunny Mia Minute to Midnight: Finished 6th place in the EvA80 - Horseland Midland class with a fantastic double-clear jumping performance, finishing on 39.2 penalties.

Thank you to all the volunteers, organizers, and support crews who make events like Moora possible. Whether you went home with a ribbon or a few extra homework notes for next time, you represented our region beautifully! πŸ’™πŸ’›

🐴 Important Update: Rescheduling our Rally for Horse Welfare

Hi everyone,
The safety and well-being of our horses and riders is always our top priority. After reviewing the forecast and consulting the Pony Club Australia Hot Weather Policy, the CMR&PC Committee have made the decision to reschedule our upcoming rally on Saturday 7th March.

While the air temperature alone is one factor, the PCA policy uses the Wet Bulb Globe Temperature (WBGT)β€”which accounts for humidity, wind speed, and sun exposureβ€”to determine when it is no longer safe for our horses and riders to exert themselves.

The safety and welfare of our horses, as well as our riders, coaches, and volunteers, is always our first priority. According to the PCA guidelines, the projected conditions fall into the High-risk category, where strenuous exercise is strongly discouraged.

We are disappointed to miss out on seeing everyone, but we know you’ll agree that our four-legged friends' health comes first.

New Date: Sunday 22nd March

Stay cool, keep your horses hydrated, and we will see you at the next one!

Why temperature alone is misleading. One of the most common misunderstandings in hot weather management is relying on the forecast temperature alone.
