Introducing JOY
With a deep passion for nurturing and education, Joy is a devoted mother of eight and proud grandmother of twenty-one. After years of homeschooling, where every child learned to swim, play a musical instrument, and engage in team sports, she and her family also opened their home to foster care.
For the past eight years, she has been a dedicated swim instructor at Swimcare. Her role is one she considers a true honour, entrusted with teaching life-saving skills to children. She believes the value of a child is priceless and finds great joy in seeing students progress—many who she has taught from infancy, who know do squad and swim for enjoyment.
She is especially passionate about helping parents teach their children to swim, in the baby stage, its the first skill they learn out of home and watching parents teach their childen is a honour she feels pride and privelige to be apart of, recognising swimming as a vital life skill in Australia. Her greatest reward is watching children thrive, confident in the water and in themselves.
If you have ever swam with Joy over the years, or have any lovely memories with her at SwimCare please feel free to share them here, she would love to see them 🙌
