🐠🦀 Calling all curious Scouts! 🐬🦈

The Atlas of Life - Far South Coast - NSW is running a series of talks about the amazing marine life right here on our doorstep!

From seahorses and sea dragons to sharks, dolphins, whales and some very unusual underwater creatures, there's plenty to discover!

📍 Tathra Surf Club
🕕 6pm on selected dates, starting Friday 6 November.

This isn't an organised Scout activity, but we thought we'd share it for any Joeys, Cubs or Scouts who might be interested in heading along with their parents.

A great opportunity to learn more about our local environment! 🌊🔍

🎃👻 A little teamwork, a little skill and a whole lot of Halloween chaos!

Our annual Halloween night at 1st Merimbula Scouts was another hit!

From skeleton tossing and spooky challenges to balancing acts, games and plenty of laughs, our Joeys, Cubs and Scouts put their teamwork, coordination, problem-solving and creativity to the test.

A huge shout-out to our Scout Tyler, who was the driving force behind the night! He designed and made many of the games, organised the activities and ran the show. A great example of youth-led Scouting in action. ⚜️

Even better, a few more Scouts are already keen to join Tyler's Halloween crew next year, learning from his experience and helping to plan, do and review the fun.

Who knew learning new skills could be so frightfully good? 💀

🎃👻 The calm before the BOO!

A little sneak peek before the Halloween madness began at 1st Merimbula Scouts!

Our Halloween night has become an annual tradition, and this year Scout Tyler was well and truly running the show! From making the games to organising and running the night, he's put so much into making it what it is. We reckon there's an SIA badge in there somewhere! 👏

A few Scouts are already keen to help next year, so perhaps Tyler can head up the spooky crew and pass on a few tricks of the trade! A great opportunity for some youth-led planning, doing and reviewing.

Now, let the chaos begin! 🎃🕸️👻

This Monday, we're getting into the spooky spirit at 1st Merimbula Scouts!

Come dressed in your favourite Halloween costume and get ready for an evening of fun, games and a little spooky mischief! 🧙‍♀️🕸️

Hi everyone,

Just a quick reminder that all sections will be participating in outdoor activities this Monday!

We'll all meet at the Scout Hall for a 5:30 pm start.

Please make sure everyone brings:

Enclosed shoes (essential)

A hat

A drink bottle

Weather-appropriate clothing

Remember we're an all-weather Scout Group, so please check the forecast and dress accordingly. A raincoat might come in handy! 🌦️

PACK PACK PACK
WELCOME BACK TO TERM 4 AT 1ST MERIMBULA SCOUTS!

We kicked off Term 4 in true scouting fashion, with an epic bushwalk around the beautiful Merimbula Creek! 🌳🥾 It was a fantastic way to get back into the swing of things, enjoying the outdoors, challenging the youth (and adults) and making memories together.

But the real highlight of the night was a very special milestone.

After three years of dedication, perseverance, and commitment to their Scouting journey, we had the privilege of recognising three outstanding young people as they achieved their Peak Awards! 🐺🦘

These awards represent so much more than time spent in Scouts. They reflect the skills learned, challenges overcome, adventures shared, and the determination shown along the way. We couldn’t be prouder of what these three young people have accomplished!

A huge congratulations to our Peak Award recipients — an incredible achievement and a fantastic example of what can be achieved through dedication and a love of adventure. Well done Tyler, William and Luca.

And if this is how we’re starting Term 4, we’ve got an exciting few months ahead! 🔥⛺
