Banks Rowing Club, situated in Melbourne is dedicated to supporting rowers at every level in achieving their goals, from club participation to elite competition. An icon of Melbourne’s history, Banks Rowing Club was founded in 1866 and is one of Australia’s oldest, continuously operating sporting clubs. Our approach to every facet of Club management sets Banks apart - with exciting plans for a sustainable future.

Banks Rowing Club is running a Junior Winter Program for current year 10, 11 & 12 students looking to sharpen up their skills over the winter months!

An excellent opportunity to train out of one of Victoria’s premier rowing clubs during the off season! Whether it’s to maintain fitness or learn how to sweep, Banks is the place to be!

Another year of competing at the Australian National Championships down at Lake Barrington! With a smaller squad than last year, our athletes battled some very tough conditions out on the course 🌊🌊 Their hard work throughout the season was on show as all our rowers put up a great fight against very challenging competition. Well done to all our Banks athletes on an amazing season! 🩷💙

A huge thanks to our HP coaches Glenn and Joe, as well as Ainsley, for their incredible support and expertise! And also thank you to all the volunteers who help make the regatta possible 🙏

A State Championship to remember 🏆🩷

Day 3 of the Victorian State Championships saw Banks Rowing Club finish on top of the medal tally after a huge day of racing in tough conditions at Lake Wendouree.

Taking it up to some of the largest clubs in Victoria and coming out on top shows exactly how much the program has grown across Club and High Performance. The depth across every grade, the composure under pressure and the ability to convert finals into medals says a lot about where Banks is at right now.

🏆 Banks Rowing Club – State Championships Day One 🏆

A strong first day at State Champs with 7 Gold, 4 Silver and 2 Bronze medals across club, lightweight and open events. We also had a number of athletes put down quality time trial performances to move into finals and semifinals, setting up a big day two.
