A monthly social golf group that has grown from humble beginnings to become one of the greatest sporting organisations to hit the sporting scene. Membership is $100 per annum, which includes a personalised polo shirt, hat, and all prizes throughout the year. Green fees are payable on each round. An itinerary is sent out to all members at the start of the year. The rules of Explosion Golf are as fo
llows:
• Groups are made up of 4 players, picked at random (based loosely on handicap) at the start of the season. From Round 2 onwards all groups are defined by Score Averages.
• Every hole is worth 12 points for a group of 4, and 9 points for a group of 3. If you tie the hole, points are split accordingly.
• Each player can call one "Explosion Hole" per round. Explosion Holes count for double points for the person who calls it.
• "Explosion" must be called before any player has teed off on that particular hole.
• If an Explosion Hole is split, the players split the points as per normal, except in the case where the caller of the Explosion splits as well, he will receive double the split points.
• Person who calls "Explosion" must tee off first regardless if he/she won the previous hole
• Points are tallied at the end of the round, highest score wins.
• Handicap is only necessary to determine your approximate grouping for your first round
• Groups are determined by point averages, and grouped accordingly
• There is 8 rounds to determine the groupings for the Final played at the end of the year.
• Major Prizes are awarded to the winner of EACH FINAL. All groups are treated equally except for Group 1 who plays off for the Season Title.
• Prizes are awarded for Longest Drive and Closest to Pin for all rounds including Final.
