Today is a terrible day to get married... and a great day to change your life. 💥

According to the Chinese Almanac, today is known as a Destruction Day.

Many people immediately assume that sounds negative.
In reality, it depends on what you're trying to accomplish.

Today may not be the ideal day to get married 💍, sign an important contract 📝 or launch a new business 🚀.

But if there's something in your life or business that no longer serves you...
Today is an excellent day to break it.

❌ An unhealthy pattern.
❌ A limiting belief.
❌ A process that's no longer effective.
❌ A relationship that's run its course.
❌ An old way of thinking.

Inside our Qi Men coaching framework, one of the nine mindset types is called the Destructor. ⚔️

These people challenge the status quo.
They push into new territory.
They don't wait for permission.
They create change when others hesitate.
One of the most important principles we teach is this:

Your God-given power is fixed.
Your mindset isn't. 🧠

You're born with one mindset that's naturally stronger than the others.
But you can learn to access different ways of thinking when life demands it.

Sarah often shares that although her natural mindset is what we call the Hero—optimistic and hopeful—it wasn't optimism alone that carried her through breast cancer treatment or gave her the courage to leave behind a comfortable life to build something completely different.

It was learning to access a fighting spirit when life required it.

Sometimes we need the Risk Taker.
Sometimes we need the Heart mindset. ❤️

And sometimes...
We need the Destructor. ⚔️

Because we can't build something better while we're still protecting something that's broken.

Perhaps today's question isn't: "What should I build next?"

Perhaps it's: "What do I need to let go of first?"

Not everyone is wired to take risks like Elon Musk. Thank goodness. 😅

On Monday, we explored the Risk Taker mindset.
Today we're looking at another mindset that is just as important: the Heart mindset.

For nearly 30 years, Sarah Yeung worked as an architect.

While architecture is often associated with creativity and innovation, successful projects require something else.

Structure.
Compliance.
Documentation.
Systems.

Ideas alone don't build buildings.

The Heart mindset specialises in turning chaos into order.

Creating systems that people can follow.
Maintaining standards.
Building repeatable processes.
Ensuring consistency over time.

It's also the reason ideas survive beyond the person who created them.

The Risk Taker asks: "What could be?"

The Heart mindset asks: "How do we make it work?"

As Fire energy intensifies in the next 3 months, it's easy to focus on disruption, technology, AI, and rapid change.

Yet without structure and ex*****on, even the best ideas eventually collapse.

Vision matters.
So does the blueprint.

Innovation matters.
So does implementation.

The organisations that thrive over the coming years will need both.

🚀 Elon Musk didn’t think SpaceX would survive… yet he did it anyway.

Most people hear that story and think confidence.

At Position Perfect 360, we see something deeper.
We see wiring.

We talked a lot about people having different God-given Abilities.
Different natural operating systems that influence how they should communicate, solve problems, create opportunities, and achieve results.

Ability is only part of the equation.
The second layer is mindset.

In Qi Men, there are nine different mindset structures.
One of them is the Risk Taker mindset.

These individuals don't simply accept uncertainty.
They thrive in it.

They move before certainty arrives.
They see possibilities where others see danger.

Elon Musk is an interesting example.

His Moon Power naturally drives him toward knowledge, information, and deep understanding.

Combined with a Risk Taker mindset, it becomes easier to understand why he pursued ventures that many people believed were impossible.

Technology, AI, digital systems, and space exploration are all considered Fire industries. As Fire energy becomes increasingly dominant, these sectors are attracting even greater attention and influence.

This is one reason comparing yourself to others can be so misleading.

Two people may have access to the same opportunity.

Yet one moves while the other hesitates.

Not because one is better.

But because they're operating from different internal wiring.

Different mindsets see the same situation very differently.

Some people see uncertainty and run.

Others become energised by the possibility.

Understanding your natural power is important.

Understanding how your mindset interacts with it is where transformation begins.

She didn't just leave behind songs...she left behind a legacy.

Most people remember Olivia Newton-John for her music, films, and public profile.

Yet one of her most significant contributions may be something entirely different.

Across the road from the hospital where Sarah Yeung underwent surgery and chemotherapy sits the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Research Institute.

Years later, that facility continues helping thousands of people through treatment, research, and specialist care.

At Position Perfect 360, we often teach that people have different natural operating systems.

One of them is the Connection Ability.

Many assume connection is simply about knowing lots of people.

It isn't.

Connection at its highest level is the ability to bring the right people together around a shared purpose.

Doctors bring expertise.
Researchers bring knowledge.
Supporters bring resources.
Communities bring encouragement.

When those contributions align around a meaningful mission, extraordinary things become possible.

This is where Connection Ability becomes far more than networking.

It becomes leadership.

The ability to unite people who may never have met otherwise and create outcomes that continue long after the original idea was formed.

Even after Olivia's passing, the impact of that work continues.
That is the difference between success and legacy.

Success comes from understanding your ability.

Legacy comes from using it in service of something bigger than yourself.

The problem wasn't that I didn't know... the problem was that I knew.

Most people assume change happens when we discover something new.

In reality, many already know exactly what needs to change.

What stops them isn't knowledge.

It's action.

One of the most powerful lessons Sarah often shares comes from her own experience.

Before becoming a coach and strategist, she ran a successful architectural practice.

During the GFC, while many businesses struggled, her firm secured major projects and expanded into multiple shopping centres.

From the outside, everything looked successful.

Yet deep down, she knew there were important changes she needed to make.

The challenge wasn't knowledge.

The challenge was action.

Like many people, she understood what needed to happen but didn't feel ready.

Then a breast cancer diagnosis changed everything.

The things that once felt complicated became clear.

The things that had been postponed became impossible to ignore.

At Position Perfect 360, we see this often.

People assume their biggest challenge is a lack of knowledge, skills, or strategy.

More often, the real challenge is emotional.

Fear of change.

Fear of failure.

Fear of what others might think.

Understanding your natural operating system is important.

But awareness alone doesn't create transformation.

Growth begins when we stop waiting for the perfect moment and start acting on what we already know.

Some people get stuck in the past...others get awards for it.

At Position Perfect 360, we often talk about strengths, potential, and alignment.

What we don’t talk about often enough is this:

The same strength that creates success can also create frustration when it’s used incorrectly.

Take two different people.

One is naturally future-focused — what I call the Foresight Ability.

Think Mick Jagger.

People with this ability are designed to look forward and visualise possibilities — seeing futures that don’t yet exist and bringing them into reality.

The clearer the vision, the stronger the result.

That’s the power.

But when it’s misused, it becomes something else entirely.

The mind starts rehearsing fear instead of possibility.

Worst-case scenarios instead of opportunity.

The future becomes something you unconsciously escape into — instead of create from.

Then there’s the other end of the spectrum — the Hook Ability.

Think Tom Clancy.

Naturally pattern-focused, able to draw from information, experience, and history — connecting existing fragments into something new, relevant, and powerful.

The past becomes a resource.

But when misused, it turns into over-analysis, nostalgia, or being trapped in outdated stories.

Both abilities are powerful.

Both can create extraordinary outcomes.

But both can also become limiting when pointed in the wrong direction.

The ability isn’t the problem.

The direction it’s being used in is.

As technology, AI, and economic uncertainty continue reshaping industries and careers, this becomes critical.

Because the people who adapt best aren’t always the smartest or most experienced.

They’re the ones who understand how they’re naturally designed to operate — and use it intentionally.

The same circumstances.

The same disruption.

A completely different outcome.

Reposting from Sarah Yeung.

A reflection on performance, alignment, and how outcomes shift when we operate from our natural design rather than forcing a fixed script.

Sarah shared that when she first began coaching 12 years ago, she would prepare everything in advance - structure, flow, and phrasing.

But in real-time sessions, she often moved away from that structure and instead relied on her natural ability to connect and respond in the moment.

Over time, this revealed a consistent pattern: stronger outcomes emerge when individuals operate from alignment with their natural way of working, rather than overriding it.

In her framework, she describes this as different “God-given abilities” — natural operating systems that shape how people think, connect, and create outcomes.

For example, some individuals lead through connection, while others lead through foresight and vision.

Mick Jagger is often referenced as an example of foresight in action — building entire creative worlds long before others experience them, then bringing people into that vision. That's how he connects.

The key insight is this: there is more than one way to achieve the same outcome.

When people operate in alignment with their natural design, results become more consistent and often exceed expectation.

The storm isn't the problem....becoming part of it is.

As we move deeper into the Fire Horse cycle, many people are noticing the same thing:

Everything feels faster.

Expectations feel higher.

Emotions seem closer to the surface.

Periods of rapid change don't just test our resources.

They test our emotional stability.

Recently, I watched a staff member calmly handle a difficult interaction at a university event.

The situation could easily have escalated.

Instead, he remained polite, professional, and firm.

The outcome was simple because he refused to absorb someone else's emotional state.

That's a lesson worth remembering.

At Position Perfect 360, we often talk about performance, leadership, and alignment.

Yet emotional stability sits underneath all three.

It affects:

• How we communicate
• How we make decisions
• How we lead others
• How we respond to opportunity

When pressure rises, your internal state starts to determine your external results.

That's why emotional stability is not a luxury.

It's a capability.

And in periods of uncertainty, it may be one of the most valuable capabilities you can develop.

I knew I needed to learn it... I just didn't want to.

One of the biggest mistakes people make during periods of rapid change is assuming opportunity will wait for them to be ready.

It won't.

In Chinese philosophy, strong Fire periods accelerate movement, visibility, innovation, and change.

Opportunities emerge faster.

Industries evolve faster.

Expectations shift faster.

The challenge is that opportunity rarely arrives on our timetable.

It arrives when it arrives.

At Position Perfect 360, we often see talented people limit themselves not because they lack potential, but because they haven't expanded their capacity.

Sometimes that capacity is technical.

Sometimes it's leadership.

Sometimes it's communication.

Sometimes it's confidence.

The most valuable growth rarely comes from improving what you're already good at.

It comes from developing the abilities you've been avoiding because they challenge your comfort zone.

That's why expanding your capacity is a form of virtue.

It requires honesty.

Courage.

Discipline.

And a willingness to become a different version of yourself.

The opportunities created during periods of change can take you further than you imagine.

But only if you've built the capacity to hold them when they arrive.

I knew what was about to happen before it happened...and I had a decision to make.

Most problems don't begin with a bad decision.

They begin with an emotional reaction that turns into a bad decision.

This week's Cultivate Virtue series is about decision-making.

In periods of uncertainty, pressure, and rapid change, people often become more reactive without realising it.

They respond quickly.
Assume the worst.
Rush to conclusions.
Defend positions they haven't fully examined.

The challenge isn't intelligence.

It's clarity.

At Position Perfect 360, we teach that people are naturally wired to process information differently.

There are 10 different natural operating systems.

10 different ways people think, solve problems, communicate, and make decisions.

When people understand their natural design, they often become better decision-makers because they learn to recognise the difference between instinct, emotion, urgency, and alignment.

The goal isn't to make decisions faster.

The goal is to make decisions from the right place.

Because one good decision can create momentum.

One poor decision can create unnecessary chaos.

Sometimes the most important decision isn't what you choose to do.

It's what you prevent from happening next.
