Founded by a group of Melbourne Victory supporters in 2007 as somewhere to have a game together on a Sunday. Trojan fielded one team in its inaugural season in the VicSoccer Division 1 morning league. Since then, the club has made significant steps forward to establish themselves as one of the premier amateur football teams in the metropolitan Melbourne area. By 2008, the club was well known among
st supporters of Melbourne Victory, through forums and word of mouth and this saw a large amount of players at pre-season training. Seniors and reserve teams were then formed and the club moved to Sunday afternoon VicSoccer Division 1, playing home games at Flemington Road Oval in Flemington. For 3 years the club finished the season towards the bottom of the table and players came and went. Towards the end of 2010 numbers were dwindling but reducing to just 1 team was considered too big a step back for the club. Trojan actively sought out a new manager and in January 2011, Xavier Sloan was appointed head coach by the committee. Much recruiting was done during the pre-season and this saw 2011 to be the most successful season in the club's history. From round 3 Trojan went undefeated for the season, winning the league, and then winning the league cup from Division 1. Through the league finish they achieved promotion to VicSoccer Premier League for 2012. Season 2012 proved to be just as successful, and their debut season Trojan took all by surprise and were crowned Premier League Champions of 2012. Today the men's teams consists of a Senior, Reserve and Thirds squad, all playing home games at Flemington Road Cricket Oval and competing in the VicSoccer Premier League (Afternoon). In 2017, 10 years after founding the club, Trojans started a women's team. The Trojan Women quickly rose to the occasion with two Championships in their first three years: VicSoccer League Winners 2018 and Football Victoria State League 4 East Winners 2019. Training for men's and women's teams takes place on Wednesday evenings from 7.00pm at Flemington Road Cricket Oval. Become a player or a social member today!
