The path of Karate begins with respect and continues through lifelong learning.🥋

In traditional Japanese Budo, training is not simply about developing stronger techniques.

It is about refining character.

*一、人格完成に努むること
(Hitotsu) Jinkaku kansei ni tsutomuru koto
Seek Perfection of Character

*一、誠の道を守ること
(Hitotsu) Makoto no michi o mamoru koto
Be Sincere

*一、努力の精神を養うこと
(Hitotsu) Doryoku no seishin o yashinau koto
Put maximum effort into everything you do

*一、礼儀を重んずること
(Hitotsu) Reigi o omonzuru koto
Respect Others

*一、血気の勇を戒むること
(Hitotsu) Kekki no yuu o imashimuru koto
Develop Self Control

These principles guide our training both inside and outside the dojo.

Every bow.
Every kata.
Every challenge.

We are delighted to welcome Yutaro to Melbourne. He is visiting for a short holiday, and it is a true honour to have him training with us at the dojo. Yutaro is an exceptional young karateka, achieving 3rd place in the 13-year-old Individual Kata division at the 2024 JKA World Championship, and becoming the 2025 JKA National Champion in both individual and team kata for the junior high school 2nd year category.
All of our students and parents have been incredibly excited to meet him and amazed by his performance. Having Yutaro train with us has been a great source of inspiration and motivation for everyone in the dojo.
Although his stay is brief, we also had the chance to spend some time together outside the dojo and visit a few places around Melbourne. We would like to sincerely thank his parents for their trust in allowing him to travel and train with us, as well as for the thoughtful souvenirs from Japan.

メルボルンに悠太郎さんをお迎えできることを大変嬉しく思います。彼は短い休暇で当道場を訪れており、一緒に稽古できることは大変光栄です。悠太郎さんは、2024年JKA世界選手権13歳個人形部門で3位入賞、2025年JKA全国大会中学2年生部門では個人・団体形ともに優勝するなど、卓越した若き空手家です。

当道場の生徒や保護者の皆様は、彼に会えることを大変楽しみにしており、彼の演技に感銘を受けています。悠太郎さんが当道場で稽古してくれることは、道場の全員にとって大きな刺激とモチベーションとなっています。

滞在期間は短いものの、道場外でも一緒に時間を過ごし、メルボルンのいくつかの場所を訪れる機会もありました。悠太郎さんの渡航と稽古を快く許可してくださったご両親、そして日本からの素敵なお土産をいただいたことに、心より感謝申し上げます。

The 3-day JKA Australia seminar in Sydney has come to an end, and what an incredible experience it has been. We learned so much from Shihan Izumiya and Akiyama Sensei—their teaching, guidance, and dedication were truly inspiring and deeply appreciated.
We would like to sincerely thank them for sharing their knowledge and for their patience and commitment to all of us throughout the seminar. It was an honour to learn from them.
A huge congratulations to Jayden for successfully passing his grading and attaining his Shodan—such a proud and well-deserved achievement! We couldn’t be happier and prouder of his dedication and hard work. Osu! 👊
