Wonderful weather greeted players, parents and their families on Saturdays 2026 Club Presentation. With team and individual player awards presented throughout the morning in front of an enthusiastic audience, it was a great finish to another successful season both on and off the field. Acknowledging coaches, team management and helpers for their commitment to their teams throughout the season, the day was a celebration of their achievements and the club as a collective with our club featuring 3 out of the 4 teams playing in the finals series taking out their respective Grand Finals. The old-fashioned sausage sizzle, soft drinks and top end Ice Cream Van provided by our club was well received by all attending. With some minor formalities to finish off such as the pack up and AGM, we wish everyone a well-deserved break, a Happy Christmas and Good New Year. A huge congratulations to our U12A and Combined U14A teams in taking out their respective Grand Finals on Saturday. Our 12's never let up in their game keeping the pressure on a never give up Quins side. The 14's game was a real nail biter but the players kept their heads against a dogged Quins side who fought until the very end. Well done to the large contingent of families and supporters who came out and supported the teams in such a positive and energetic way in both games. Hats off to Powerhouse Juniors in putting on such a well run and organised day and to the band of volunteers who kept things running from Go to Woe. Our club is so proud and happy for everyone that shared not just in these wins but who continue to contribute to our club both on and off the field throughout this and previous seasons. This year continued our streak of Finals and Grand Finals appearances and successes and shows we haven't taken the foot off the pedal as we endeavour to continue to progress and develop as a club, navigating what is put before us and ensuring all players, new and old remain our main focus. A very proud moment for our club being host of the first of 4 consecutive GF's played at our then newly opened ground. We hope everyone enjoys the memories as we lead into this years' Junior Grand Final being held at Powerhouse Juniors. We wish PHJ well in their inaugural hosting of this " Jewel in the Crown' event and the best of luck going out to all the teams and players on the day that make Junior Rugby in Victoria the ongoing success it is.

A classic West Verse East battle to see who will be Premiers in the U12A and U14A Combined grades sees us up against two prepped up Harlequins teams this Saturday. With the Minor Premiership wrapped up for both grades, neither team will be resting on its laurels and will go all out to take home the main prize. Our U16 girls set the stage with their Premiership win earlier this season and we hope their efforts will be matched on the field this Saturday. Looking forward in seeing a large contingent of family and supporters decked out in their club colours being loud and proud for both games. Good luck to all players and their team management for getting to this stage. The rest is up to the players on the day. 🦏💜🖤💛

Congratulations to our U12A and U14A Combined in qualifying for next Saturday's Junior Grand finals after some solid results. While our U11's fell short on the scoreline, they did not fall short in playing with heart and a never give up attitude given the emotional week they had and which saw them keep pace with their opposition for most of the match. A great effort by all involved. With one Premiership / Minor Premiership already in the trophy cabinet courtesy of our undefeated U16 Girls, we wish our remaining teams all the best of luck next week and remain proud of all our teams regardless of results. We hope you can continue to support our players and post your good luck messages throughout the week.

Tomorrow's Finals will see our U11, 12A and 14A combined teams compete for a place in the following weeks' Junior Grand Final Day. We wish the best of luck to all of our teams and regardless of the results, know that nothing will be left out on the field. Play in good spirit and sportsmanship and those watching on the sidelines, ensure you encourage and clap the efforts of both teams competing. We anticipate a strong presence of Rhinos supporters and families to attend and we hope as many as possible are able to arrive early and stay on to support all grades tomorrow. Our U11's kick off at 9:30am followed by our U12's at 10:35am. Unfortunately there is an overlap with the U14's game kicking off at 11:10am while our 12's are still playing. Would have been good if they were given the later 11:40am KO to prevent this but anyway... Best of luck also to Southern Districts Rugby Club in hosting such a big day after a long absence of Junior Finals hosting. We have no doubt it will be well managed and catered for by their dedicated committee and volunteers who will ensure the off field tasks contribute to a very successful day. With the regular season now completed after today’s games, we are very proud to share that our U12A (undefeated) and U14A Combined teams have both been crowned 2026 Minor Premiership winners. Add to that our U16 Girls finishing as undefeated Minor Premiers and Premiers, this has been a great result in what has been another challenging year for Junior Rugby in Victoria. So next week’s finals will see our U11, U12A and U14A Combined, compete in their relevant final to proceed to the GF. Congratulations to all the players, coaches and team management for reaching this milestone and ensuring the Rhinos ongoing finals appearances remain intact. We wish all teams the best of luck next week knowing that your club is very proud of all our teams’ achievements from U8’s through to our U18’s. Anything after this week is a bonus.

Our club would like to acknowledge the selection of 4 of our Rhino players and 5 Warriors player s - a total of 9 from the combined Rhino/Warriors U14A team into the U14 Squad who will be competing later this year in the ' Emerging Reds Cup" in Queensland. A great achievement in what is a very competitive age group this year. Now selections have taken place, we look to see the team focus on the remaining competition game and upcoming finals series with both our clubs being very proud of their ongoing achievements with the job not yet completed.
