If I were to go back in time - I don’t think I’d be a Chiropractor and here’s why…

1. The Chiropractic philosophy of subluxations and adjustments is something that I completely disagree with. The philosophy that it helps the body to heal itself, prevents degeneration and whatever - is just not true. To say that someone’s health comes down to an adjustment is ridiculous.

2. A lot of chiros advocate for regular adjustments, x-rays and postural corrections that really don’t mean anything. Most of them are just good at selling the benefit vs there actually being a benefit. And if there was a benefit - it doesn’t only come from the adjustment. There are other factors such as the patient-client interaction.

3. I really enjoy training and rehabbing people with low back and lower limb injuries but most people believe that chiros only treat the spine and adjust. Which is just boring to me. And I could do a really good job rehabbing and train people without being a chiro.

4. The job opportunities aren’t the same. You are limited by your title - regardless of how good you are or if you have experience treating a certain type of population. For example, a lot of clinics or teams won’t hire you because you’re a chiro because they want a physio.

5. At the end of the day it’s just a title. But there’s a lot of negatives that comes with being a chiro - that I just don’t like.

Agree of disagree? Let me know👇🏻

It’s been two weeks since I moved back to Toronto from Melbourne. 😢 and I’m ready to go back already.
But here’s everything I’ve been up to.

1. I forgot how the big the city was

2. PRO: get to spend more time with the dad.
And gonna spend some time getting my dad jacked and strong so he can live until 120.

3. Gotta say hi to the legend VC

4. Good coffee is impossible to find. But when you find it it’s a blessing.

5. The Cellar such a beautiful gym

6. Glad to see the bro Brandon Michael Christopher and see what he’s doing with ELITE MVMT | Rehab & Performance

Time to do more content.

One exercise people with patellar tendinopathy or knee pain should be doing…

The reason being that this actually targets the Rec Fem by putting the knee in flexion and the hip in extension- whereas other quad exercises have your knee in flexion and hip in flexion.

Give your under-appreciated quad - the Rec Fem- some TLC.

Being completely honest - I did see post this exercise a while ago.

10/10 exercise overall - given that most of the knee extension machines can’t actually let me lay down.
But is a bit awkward to set up initially.

Who has sprained their ankle?

Who has only rested and iced their ankle before returning to sport?

Who then has repeatedly sprained their ankle more after OR had another injury after their ankle injury?

If you answered YES - then you need to stop letting your weak ankles take you off the court

You NEED to be training your ankles to regain the strength and reactivity in similar angles and speeds of the court.

Otherwise you’re just waiting for the next roll.
