Tairyo Rods Tairyo Rods In 1991 the Nano Particle Molecule was discovered by S. Ljima creating interest among academic and industrial circles.

This was developed into Carbon Nano Tube technology which is the material used in Tairyo rods. CNT has outstanding physical properties being one hundred times the strength of steel and six times as light. Its tensile strength is 150 Gpa in comparison to carbon fibre which has a tensile strength of 5Gpa maximum. CNT is 30 times stronger than IM7 Carbon Fiber. The key technology is how the CNT is di

spensed steadily in composite materials. Three separate layers of high-modulus carbon are wrapped around a high density graphite core, reinforced by woven fibre and bound together by our proprietary resin to create an extremely light, incredibly sensitive rod. Tairyo offers unsurpassed strength, light weight rods and actions and tapers designed for the modern day lure angler.
