More exciting news for Davey’s Bay! 💙⛵
Our GirlSail Regatta has been named a finalist for the 2026 Australian Sailing Victoria SheSails Award 🎉

GirlSail is one of the highlights of our annual calendar — bringing women and girls together on the water, building confidence, creating connections and making sailing welcoming, inclusive and fun.

A huge thank you to everyone who helps make GirlSail such a special event — our organisers, volunteers, supporters and, of course, all the sailors who take part each year.
We’re very proud to be recognised alongside fellow finalists Camilla Graves and Ocean Racing Club of Victoria – Kiss Alive.

Some exciting news for Davey’s Bay — we’ve been named a finalist for the 2026 Australian Sailing Victoria Discover Sailing Centre of the Year Award! ⛵🎉

A huge thank you to everyone who helps make our Discover Sailing programs what they are - our instructors, volunteers, families and, of course, everyone who comes down to Davey’s Bay to give sailing a go.
Helping people discover sailing, build confidence on the water and become part of our Club community is something we’re incredibly proud of.

Congratulations to fellow finalists Altona Yacht Club and The Boatshed — and thank you Australian Sailing Victoria for the recognition.

**⛵ Ever Wanted to Sail a Flying Fifteen? Now's Your Chance!**

Whether you're an experienced sailor, race another class, or have never stepped aboard a Flying Fifteen before, **everyone is welcome** to join our **Flying Fifteen Performance Program 2026** at **Davey's Bay Yacht Club**.

You **don't need to own a boat** and **you don't need to be an FFIV member**.

We'll pair newcomers with experienced skippers and crews so you can experience one of the world's most enjoyable racing keelboats in a relaxed, friendly environment.

While our Sunday sailing takes a break over winter. The club has a full winter calendar. Whether its building maintenance, fixing our dinghy fleet, winter sailing, AS sailing summits or learning new skills. DBYC has never been busier this time of year. We still have limited places for the First Aid Course and Radio Operators Course. Inquire via [email protected]

Last Saturday night we celebrated the end of the sailing season at our EGM and prize giving with plenty of laughs and smiles. Welcome to our new Commodore Tony Perkin. Congratulations to our new Club Champion Lewis Davies and a big thanks to, out going Commodore Cam Taylor and Club Captain Gary Cameron for your efforts and guidance.
