Joining the club back in 2014 after Shan put the call out on Facebook looking for players, Tanj made her debut as a Jet, and what a pickup she’s been for our club ever since.
Now, over a decade later, she’s somehow aged like fine wine and still moves around the court like it’s 2014. 🍷🔥
This Saturday, Tanj proudly reaches the incredible milestone of 100 games in Black Rock colours after previously celebrating her 50-game milestone on the 17th of June, 2018.
Her journey hasn’t been without setbacks, battling through injuries along the way, but every comeback has been worth it. Through it all, she’s continued to give so much to the club, now sharing it with her beautiful girls Zara and Monty, who are always close by cheering from the sidelines, alongside supportive husband Matt.
Since stepping into the coaching realm in 2023, Tanj has become an incredible asset to the club. Now into her third season coaching, she’s already led the 3rds side to a Grand Final and continues to bring passion, dedication, and a team-first mentality every single week.
Her knowledge and love for the sport truly shine through, especially seeing the hard work from training translate into game day. She works tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure her team is prepared and supported, making her not only a fantastic coach, but an outstanding ambassador for the club.
