Adam Kabbas is a third generation weightlifter who has benefited from knowledge gained over sixty years’ involvement in every facet of the sport. A competitive weightlifter and former Victorian champion, Adam “learned the trade” from his father, Robert Kabbas, an Olympic silver medallist and dual Commonwealth Games gold medallist whose training principles are based on his own experiences at the el
ite level and those of contemporary world leading athletes as well as those handed down from his own coach’s (uncle) observations of Egypt’s world champions. Having trained at top level venues in London, Rome, Athens and New Zealand, Adam has used this personal experience to incorporate his own perspective on technique and programming. As a former representative basketballer, volleyball player and state-level high jumper, Adam also has a well-developed approach to sport in general and the power training needs of athletes other than weightlifters.
