When Henry Paige wakes up in a place called The In-between with no memory of who he is or how he got there, confusion doesn’t even come close to how he feels.

Discovering that he’s now an untethered soul and must complete a vocation during his indefinite stay in The In-between, Henry is assigned the role of Heartbreak Helper in The Department of Heartbreak.

Returning to Earth in spirit form, Henry is tasked with the job of helping the heartbroken. The catch? He can’t become emotionally attached to his assignments because once their heart has healed, Henry will disappear, and they will forget he was ever there.

Between dealing with his gnarly heartbreak mentor, Brenda, the mystery of why he entered The In-between, and the painfully slow return of his memories, Henry meets his first assignment, Jidi, whose marriage is facing collapse.

And then Henry meets Felix, and everything goes from bad to worse to supernaturally screwed.

Today is the day 💕
My new book, The Department of Heartbreak, is out, and my heart is literally bursting with so much love.
This book is a fantasy romance and is for anyone who is going through, or has gone through, love, grief and that all-too-human feeling of their heart breaking.
I wrote this book for any and everyone who is experiencing the pain of completing a relationship, in the inspiration of wanting someone, like a ‘Heartbreak Helper’ almost, to help me through the struggles, tribulations and stages of coming to terms with and adjusting to the end of a relationship.

Have you ever felt like your life is always just ‘halfway’ there?
Kinda like you’re permanently stuck mid-way on a bridge? You can see how far you’ve come, and you can see how much is left to go, but you’re just stagnant. Static. Unmoving.
Yeah, I’ve been feeling like this lately… and then, I realised: well, I can complain about how far left I have to go, or how little progress I think I’ve made, but either way, I’m on a bridge. I might as well enjoy the view 🤸

I call this the menu of emotions. The full experience of being human. It’s so crazy when you think about it, but the vibrations within our bodies run our entire lives. Ah! 🤯

Failing massively, plot twists and accepting that I’m human.

When I started my coaching business at the end of 2021, I had no idea that, up until now, these were the things that I’d learn. And now, I’m fully embracing that:

👉 Failing is the only way we move forward. If we want to work out how to achieve something, we first have to learn all the ways we WON’T achieve it, and that is failing.

👉 That sometimes we think we have a direction of where we want things to go, but life will always swerve on in to keep us humble and serve up plot twists that will have us taking another path.

👉 Being human means surrendering to the messy, the unpredictable, and allowing yourself to feel, to cry and to hurt so much that you feel it in your toes.
