As we wrap up the 2025 season, we want to reflect on what’s been another huge year for the Victorian Dodgeball League.
Across 2025, the VDL hosted 700+ matches across Men’s, Women’s and Mixed competitions, played in both Foam and Cloth formats. Nearly 350 players took the court across almost 80 teams, and we were proud to increase our cash prize pool to $4,000, up from $3,200 in 2024, for our most competitive divisions.
In 2026, we’ll be back with all 10 divisions across Foam and Cloth, continuing to build a competition that supports development, depth, and high-level play.
A New Home for the VDL🏟️
After 8 years at Albert Park Indoor Sports Centre, the VDL will be moving to a new home in 2026.
We’re excited to announce the league will be relocating to Bundha Sports Centre, a brand-new sporting complex that we’re looking forward to calling home for the next few years.
This move brings some welcome changes. No more trekking between buildings for toilets, no sideline wall claiming stats, and a fresh court environment that brings new challenges and opportunities.
Change always comes with a learning curve, but we’re excited about what this new space offers and ask for everyone’s support as we work together to make Bundha a great home for the league.
We’d like to sincerely thank our players, captains, and clubs for their patience and understanding. As one of the largest dodgeball leagues in the world, the VDL operates across 10 divisions and brings together close to 80 teams, with players travelling from across Australia to compete.
Scheduling a league of this size involves many moving parts, including venue availability, court capacity, and operational constraints. While we always do our best to minimise clashes, it won’t always be possible to avoid overlaps with other leagues or events.
We genuinely appreciate the continued support of the community as we work through these challenges and strive to deliver the best possible experience for all players.
