Judo Victoria – Refereeing Campaign
WHERE COULD REFEREEING TAKE YOU?
Every referee starts with a first step — and yours could start right here in Victoria.

Whether you’re looking to build confidence, deepen your understanding of judo, give back to the sport, or dream of one day refereeing at the highest levels, becoming a referee can open up an entirely new side of judo.

YOUR JOURNEY CAN TAKE YOU FURTHER THAN YOU THINK.
Through the Judo Australia referee pathway, you can progress from Emerging
Referee, through State and National accreditation, and potentially all the way to Continental and International level.
📸 Kahlil Talledo

But it all starts with that first opportunity to step onto the mat.

READY TO GET STARTED?
Find out more about the referee pathway and accreditation levels through Judo
Australia:

Referee Resource Hub – Judo Australia or just simply send an email to
[email protected] for further information.

From there, you can complete the JA online Emerging Referee Course and take
your first step towards becoming an accredited Emerging Referee.

Learn. Develop. Contribute. Progress.

Whether you referee at your local club, a Judo Victoria tournament, Nationals or
eventually on the international stage — your refereeing journey starts with one
decision.

Why not make that decision today?
START YOUR REFEREEING JOURNEY.
