Most couples don’t come to counselling because they’ve “failed.”
They come because something in the relationship no longer feels understood.
And that’s the part people often miss.
It’s not always the big arguments…
It’s the *silence after them*
The distance
The feeling of “I’m not being heard anymore”
💬 In couples counselling, I don’t take sides.
I listen for what’s underneath the words — the unmet needs, the patterns, the meaning each person is making.
Because conflict isn’t the problem.
Unresolved patterns are.
What I often see:
➡️ One partner pursuing, the other withdrawing
➡️ The same argument, different day
➡️ Love still there… but buried under frustration
And here’s the truth:
You’re not fighting each other — you’re fighting for connection.
Couples counselling isn’t about who’s right.
It’s about understanding *how you got here*… and learning a different way forward.
✔️ Rebuilding communication
✔️ Creating emotional safety
✔️ Breaking the cycle (not each other)
If you’re feeling stuck, disconnected, or repeating the same patterns — that’s usually the moment to lean in, not out.
You don’t have to figure it out alone.
