4WD Victoria is the umbrella body for all affiliated four wheel drive clubs in Victoria, and represents the interests of all recreational four wheel drivers across the state. It is presently made up of some 80+ clubs which in turn have a membership totaling six thousand subscribed members representing four wheel drive enthusiasts and their families. Each affiliated club is invited to have a say in how the Association operates through regular meetings, contact with the elected committee, or assisting on the various supporting sub committees. Operating from a staffed office in Mitcham, the Association represents almost every active 4WD Club in Victoria and the number of clubs is growing constantly. We are here to support Our Environment and Communities through responsible four wheel driving, training and community programs, and any correspondence or complaints should be directed to [email protected]

Four Wheel Drive Victoria reserves the right to remove any posts or comments which do not align with Four Wheel Drive Victoria's code of ethics as well as block any users who continue to violate these rules.

4WDing is always better with good company!

Heading out with mates is one of the best parts of 4WDing. Whether it's a good chat, helping with a recovery or having someone there for safety, travelling together makes a big difference, especially in the bush where phone reception can be limited.

Just a friendly reminder that it's recommended to keep convoys to no more than 10 vehicles to minimise environmental impact and ensure a smooth trip for everyone.

So grab a few mates, plan your trip and enjoy the tracks!

It’s the people who make our 4WD community…

One of the best parts of getting out and about is catching up with our affiliated clubs and their members!

A few familiar faces from the National 4x4 Outdoors Show back in August.

A big shout-out to the passionate volunteers who give their time to support our 4WD community.

Just a quick heads-up to our clubs, members and others that our office hours will look a little different these coming weeks while our Operations and Compliance Manager, Daniel Whitby, is away on his honeymoon!

The Four Wheel Drive Victoria office will be occupied on Tuesday and Friday from 9-5pm.

Outside of these days, our team may not be available to answer phone calls or respond to emails straight away. We appreciate your patience and understanding, and we’ll get back to any enquiries as soon as we can.

Normal office hours will resume once Daniel returns on the 26th of October.

Thank you for your understanding!

Heading out four-wheel driving, camping or exploring this long weekend?

H5 bird flu has been confirmed in Victoria, but the risk to the public remains low, and Victoria’s parks and natural attractions remain open to enjoy!

While you’re out on the tracks or at camp, if you come across sick or dead birds or wildlife, remember:

AVOID – Don’t touch or come into contact with the animal.

RECORD – Note the exact location and what you observed.

REPORT – Report it online or call 1800 675 888.

If travelling with pets, make sure they are kept away from sick or dead wildlife and follow any local signs or advice.

Help protect Victoria’s wildlife while continuing to explore and enjoy the great outdoors.

Get involved with the Western Liaison Group!

Four Wheel Drive Victoria club members within the Western Liaison Group are invited to join the Friends of Brisbane Ranges (FoBR) for a Sallow Wattle removal activity in the Brisbane Ranges National Park.

Sunday 27 September 2026
10:00am – 3:00pm
Harry Peeters Reserve, Durdidwarrah

Since 2024, FoBR members have been working to remove Sallow Wattle (Acacia longifolia), an invasive species impacting areas of Victoria including the Brisbane Ranges.

This is a great opportunity to lend a hand, spend a day outdoors and help protect the local environment alongside fellow members of the 4WD community.

Please check the photos attachedfor full details on what to bring, PPE, tools, vehicle requirements and meeting information.

We’d love to see some of our club members getting involved!
