At The 12th Player Academy, we’ve had the privilege of working with Oakleigh Grammar for the past four years, delivering their school football program and supporting students across different year levels, abilities and pathways.

To see the school recognised on a national platform is something we’re incredibly proud to be part of.

Huge congratulations to Marco, who has been selected by Melbourne Victory!

Marco’s journey with The 12th Player Academy has been built on commitment, consistency and belief. He’s shown up for his training, trusted the process, and even took his development overseas with us to Portugal, all experiences that have shaped him as both a player and a young person.

This selection is a reflection of the hard work he’s put in behind the scenes. It’s incredibly rewarding to watch that effort translate into real opportunities.

Moments like this remind us why we do what we do.. supporting young players as they work towards turning their dreams into reality.

Today we lost one of our own legends.

For those of you who were fortunate enough to have met George Papageorgiou, you will agree this special man was well and truly part of the football family in Melbourne.

I was lucky enough to have spent time with George at the Academy and to have known him since our Dandy City days 8 years ago.
Full of life, vibrant, funny as f #@$ and a good friend to so many of us.
But more than all those things he was an incredibly devoted father to his 2 boys who he doted on, did everything for and raised into fantastic young teenagers.

You will be sorely missed mate. We will do everything we can to support your boys moving forward
