We’re back and bigger than ever! Season Two of the Eastfield VS Lilydale Series is officially heating up, and the rivalry is ON. After an epic final round showdown last year, it was Lilydale who took home the trophy… but the question is - who’s claiming it in 2026? 👀

This series is all about club pride, friendly fire, and big points. The more riders your club brings, the more points you stack on the day! So rally your crew and get behind your colours! And don’t miss the crowd favourite relay at every round, with a BONUS 20 points up for grabs 💥

No matter where you’re from you’re invited to be part of the action!

🏅 ALL riders from ANY club who enter the series are eligible for series awards

It is with deep sadness we share the news that another club member Jake Seeber has passed away.

Jake was a very popular, long time member of Park Orchards BMX Club and great rider who represented the club at both State and National level and was the club champion of 2012 at the age of 9.

Our deepest condolences are with Jake’s parents Tim and Jacqui, who volunteered many hours to the club, and to his brother and sister.

Take Ike remembers Jake as The Prince of Park Orchards who rode with grace and possessed a smooth and effortless style which flowed with the track.

A celebration of Jake’s life is being held this Saturday 20 June, 10am at Lilydale Memorial Park for those who knew Jake and wish to pay their respects.

We are saddened to learn of the passing of Lyndon Downing (Park Orchards BMX Club), a life member of AusCycling (formerly BMX Australia).

A respected innovator, volunteer and friend to many, Lyndon's impact on the sport extended far beyond the finish line.

Through his expertise, innovation and tireless commitment, he played a pivotal role in the development and operation of BMX racing timing, scoring and event management systems that became a cornerstone of Australian and overseas events.

That creation was BEM - BMX Event Manager, launched in 1999 and developed in a volunteer capacity thanks to the support of BMX clubs that used the program.

Our thoughts and commiserations are with Lyndon's family.

Lyndon Ross Downing. 30 June 1948 - 5 June 2026.

It is with deep sadness that we share the news that life member Lyndon Downing has passed away.

Lyndon was true legend of BMX being awarded life membership not only to the Panthers but to BMX Victoria and BMX Australia and was also awarded BMXA “Official of the year” in 2005.

Lyndon’s funeral will held on Wednesday 17 June at 2:30PM at Riverlea Estate, 485 Ringwood-Warrandyte Rd, Warrandyte. It will also be live streamed at

It is with much sadness we learn of the passing of Lyndon last Friday evening, (5th June 2026) a good friend to many and a BMX legend.
Lyndon joined the Victoria BMX family at Park Orchards BMX Club early in June 1992, (34 years ago) with his son Andrew and later with his daughter Christie racing and in recent times his Grandsons.
He joined the Committee within a couple of years as Treasurer; a role he held for many years and guided the Club to a good base. One could always count on Lyndon to be around the Club, digging drains around the track in the wet, doing maintenance, dealing with technology of some sort.
In December 2002 he received his Park Orchard BMX Club Life Membership, followed by BMX Victoria Life Membership and then BMX Australia Life Membership over the years, among his awards.
Lyndon became the connection between the BMX Club and the Park Orchards Lions Club, who saw the establishment of the of the BMX Club in May 1985. With the Lions Club establishment of their Award for the BMX Club ‘Most Improved Junior Rider’, Lyndon has had the joy of presenting this Award for many years.
BEM – BMX Event Manager – was created by Lyndon, when around 1999 he saw that there had to be a better way to run race meetings. He is synonymous with all levels of race programming and scoring. He was invaluable to the development of computerised programming for BMX and Mountain Biking all around the World. As an unassuming genius, there is not a race in Australia and many overseas, that does not have his imprint and impact. Lyndon developed BEM in a volunteer compacity and the small amount that Clubs paid to use the programme, he donated as a fund raiser to the Park Orchard Club.
When Track Attack was in the development stage, and after, Lyndon ensured that BEM could deal with all the requirements that were needed to run all the events within the Track Attack Series and so BEM’s development continued.
A true Gentleman and great friend, Condolences to Gillian, his wife, Christie, Andrew and families.
