Well.

Thats a wrap, I guess. Despite private offers and endorsements to 2030, Rugby Australia have chosen to act in their own short term self interest. Three years before hosting a Rugby World Cup and expecting Vicsport and local government to foot the bill and invest in their vision of a “national sport” which is essentially a NSW old boys club.

This has opened the door to the consortium taking RA to court for underfunding and ill practice. And god, I hope they do.

We’ve loved the Melbourne Rebels through thick and thin and will continue to do so.
