We mourn the loss of a humble brother,
Anthony De Benidictis, one of Casey Spartans inaugural u19s player and Captained Team TAMATOA in the Flag football competition 2019
Anthony will always be A SPARTAN in our hearts. Fly high AJ you definitely were one of a kind, to his family we send love and support and feel for you’re loss of a great human being.

The Casey Spartans family wanted to thank everyone who supported and took the time to travel from the Westside, Croydon, toorack and joined our Small club, shows loyalty and dedication. We didn’t come away with a win in the semifinals, but we have BIG HEARTS and we never gave up.
This season has been great! We look forward to building our family with like minded people who are here for the good of the sport.
Looks like our little club is growing,

Thank you Geelong buccaneers for the game today, we didn’t get the win, but we didn’t give up either. To the Casey Spartans boys heads up, next season is looking promising with U16s, u19s and a men’s side.

Today is our Semi finals , we have had a great season, we are a small club, but have the BIGGEST HEARTS, good luck to all the teams competing for a place in the VicBowl next week, play hard, play fair.

We need your help!

After an utterly dominant 2021 season, you may have noticed we’ve seen a less of one of our brothers around the club this year, Anthony De Benedictis.

Anthony has been taking up another battle, this time against Ewings Sarcoma which is a rare and aggressive bone / soft tissue cancer. Anthony has never been one to say too much, instead he’s just gone head first into beating this thing, taking it a day at a time, all the while focusing on his football return and preparing for his dreams to play in the United States.

We all know Anthony is a rare talent, and one of the kindest and caring people to put on a Rangers jersey. We are proud to call him a Ranger, and at this time he needs our help!

Anthony is currently undergoing chemo daily, and currently seeking to gain access to alternative treatments as well as potential treatment overseas which specifically target Ewings. Due to it’s rarity, research funding in Australia is limited, and treatment methods can have mixed results.

Please no matter how big or small - let's help Anthony fight this disease and help raise funds for his treatment. Anthony gives us his all on the field, and we’re going to give him our best off the field – and help give him the best chance to fight this aggressive cancer.
