Our 2nd female coach development session at Dromana Junior Football & Netball Club Inc. was ran by some AFLW Premiership players - Eliza West & Shelley Heath!

Shelley and Westy grew up on the Peninsula and are now doing a lot of coaching (in between their AFLW seasons)!

We are proud to work with the U10, U12 & U14 girls coaches as they continue building the girls skills and confidence in the greatest game in the world!

Thanks for having us be part of this phase in the clubs journey 🏉❤️

At Dromana Junior Football Netball Club, we are proud to have partnered with this season to deliver a dedicated coaching development program for our U10, U12 and U14 Girls coaches.

Last night, we were fortunate to welcome AFLW players and .heathbarker to the club, where they led practical on-field sessions and generously shared their experiences and insights with our coaching group.

It was an incredibly valuable evening for everyone involved, and we sincerely thank Eliza and Shelley for their time, knowledge and commitment to supporting the development of our coaches and players.

💛🖤 KICKSTART ACADEMY – PROUD PARTNERSHIP ANNOUNCEMENT 🖤💛

We’re excited to announce our partnership with Brad Sykes Sports , bringing elite coaching, mindset and performance support to the South Mornington JFC Kickstart Academy, starting February 3 🙌

⭐ Taela Sykes – A 7× Australian Junior Karate Champion and qualified Counsellor, Taela specialises in mindset coaching and sport psychology. She has worked with dozens of young athletes to build confidence, resilience and focus — supporting performance both on and off the field.
⭐ Brad Sykes – A renowned teacher of the game and passionate advocate for strong fundamentals, Brad focuses on skill development in younger players while developing game sense and tactical understanding in older athletes. A former VFL player (Casey & Frankston), Brad is also MPJFL Interleague Coordinator (2024– ), Frankston VFL Board Member (2019– ) and Peninsula Grammar Head of Football (2024– ).
⭐ Steph Papalaskaris – An Accredited Practising Dietitian and Sports Dietitian, Steph currently works with the Melbourne Football Club AFL men’s program and Casey Demons VFL. She supports athletes from grassroots to elite level with personalised nutrition strategies, specialising in performance fuelling, body composition, injury recovery and team education.

This partnership ensures our Kickstart athletes are supported not just in skills — but in mindset, preparation, education and performance.
