The Parker connection with Speedway & Midgets in particular goes back to the late 1940's just after WW2 when Nick Parker's Grandfather, Bert used to crew for the famous Beasley family of cars in the Tracey's & Rowley Park era and forward into the mid 60's. Roll on to the late 80's into the mid 90's when Nick, his Grandfather & his dad David used to crew for former speedcar driver Rob Winstanley, w

ho then became crew chief for the new V39 team. About 1990 Grandfather Bert bought a midget during this time and it was driven initially by former V8 Supercar driver John Faulkner and later by Warren Nelson, John Mills & Eric Smith with limited success and it was always intended that Nick would eventually progress into driving that or a similar speedcar when he was old enough. This never happened due to the death of his Grandfather in 2002 and so Nick progressed through 9 years of karting with 7 State Titles & numerous series wins, One limited season of Formula Ford & then six years in V8 Commodore Cup National Championship, being extremely successful & competitive in all classes. He stopped racing at the end of 2011 eventually getting married and starting a family & didn't race consistently for 4 years. In early 2015 he said that he would like to start racing again and in particular to "Complete the Circle" that his Grandfather started nearly 65 years previously in a midget with his first meeting happening at Avalon Raceway in October 2015 in the Aggressor/Fontana combo. On January 2nd 2016 at only his 4th ever meeting, Nick became the fastest Rookie in 82 years of VSDA history (est. 1934) to take his maiden Feature victory & dedicated that win to his late Grandfather. Since then he has won a total of 19 Features, 5 in the Aggressor & 12 in the Baretta Midget chassis since February 2022 & 2 in a Compact Speedcar. Achievments

Another huge highlight for the Allcott Hire - PMT Racing - V39 team was securing a runner-up finish at the Australian Speedcar Championship at Simpson after claiming third place the previous season. Starting from the second half of the field, the V39 carved its way through the pack with a sensational drive to finish on the second step of the podium, producing one of the team's most memorable performances of the season.

The Allcott Hire - PMT Racing - V39 team wrapped up the 25-26 season at the VSDA Night of Champions dinner last saturday with long time supporter & friend Paul Charlesworth putting in a suprise appearance.
To say the team was pleased with the results for the season would be an understatement, finally getting a long sought after win in the Beasley Memorial was a huge achievment along with taking 2nd place on the Aussie Title podium.

The nights awards saw the V39 take out the win for the Most Feature Wins & second place in one of the closest Southern Speedcar Tours for many years with only 5 points seperating the top 2 won by Caleb Mills.

The team highlite for the night was Nick Parker becoming a 5 time VSDA Club Champion, quite an effort, but way behind Ray Noddy Bishop who's gonna take some catching on 13 wins.

To our team members Brodie, Ian, Antony,Jeff, Calvin, Courtney, Connor, Darren & David thanks for your help & assistance throughout the season.

Saturday morning I headed down to Myrtleford speedway to help out and push off some fantastic vintage Speedcars. What started out a gloomy winters day ended up being an absolute cracker with warm sunshine, a Mint little track and good people I was given the opportunity to wheel a couple different cars.
First thanks to Andy Pearce and Bob Haselgrove for the trust and opportunity to drive Bobs car, Having never driven a cageless Midget I jumped at the offer to drive the Hazlegrove owned ex Des Nash/Hearns Hobbies Holden #55, absolutely loved it, amazing what those legends did in them back in the day. Thank u boys 🙏

Next was also offered a drive in something a bit more modern, David Watts owned and driven vintage compact speedcar, that was a bit more familiar and was quite a bit quicker than I expected, great fun!

Finally had a skid in the Mark Jordan ex Stan Fox / Stanton Autocraft #3, had an ablsolute blast, wow what a fantastic piece of history all of them and I’m quite humble for people to trust me with they’re babies!

Thanks again to the Myrtleford speedway club for putting it on, the Pearce crew, Bob Haselgrove, David Watts, Troy and Mark Jordan and everyone else who supported and worked to run a great fun event!

A very special highlight for the 25-26 season was finally winning the coveted 35th Beasley Memorial after an epic race long battle with Kaidon Brown.
