Rnd 6: Murray Bridge - A weekend of highs and lows
Well the big weekend has past and our wattle family are all safe, still recovering at home.
GUNYAH - The boys were off to a flying start with Reece coming in 2nd just off the lead. From there on the boys were left scratching their heads with how fast the pace was during the race. We just didn’t seem to have the horsepower of the other 2 top teams. One thing our boys can be happy with is that they were the only team in the top 3 not to crash the entire weekend. A testament to the experience we have in the team. They finished 3rd over all. A fair bit off the pace but still had fun doing it.
ACACIA- A team with the girls outnumbering the boys. Our mixed team cruised to a great victory, winning their category and winning the series overall. Albeit without its fair share of damage as they did sustain a few heavy crashes during the race. We will have it all fixed and in tip top shape for Casey though!
SHE’S THE MAN - Another race with no crashes! Unheard of for our girls team at Murray bridge. The girls did an amazing job piloting the trike around Sturt reserve only to come a little bit short coming 2nd to she’s relentless from
We would like to tribute our racing to Mark Weragoda whom was a favorite father figure in the wattle team. He sadly passed away one week before the race.
Congratulations to for their first overall victory at Murray bridge. They certainly surprised our boys with how fast they were the entire race.
Our focus now shifts to Casey Fields 8hr in the middle of October where we will try to gain that top step again!
Thankyou to everyone that supported us and our sponsors and MrRecumbents.
See you track side in October!
