The Balwyn Blazers Basketball Club has more than 140 junior boys and girls teams ranging from U8s-U21s playing in the Eastern Districts Junior Basketball League

🏀 DRIBBLERS BASKETBALL – TERM 2 2026

This is where basketball begins.

Dribblers is designed for boys and girls aged 5–9 years old who are new to the game or just starting out.

Our focus is simple:
Games. Smiles. Fun.

Through movement-based activities and small games, kids develop:
✔ Hand-eye coordination
✔ Confidence
✔ Listening & focus skills
✔ Teamwork & social connection
✔ A genuine love for sport

📍 Balwyn High School – Court 3
🗓 Mondays 4:00–5:00pm
🗓 NEW Saturdays 8:00–9:00am
💲 $10 per class (cash or card on the day)

No pressure. No experience needed.

At Balwyn Blazers, basketball is more than just a game.
It’s friendships, confidence, learning through wins and losses, and being part of something bigger than yourself.

From first-time players to experienced juniors, our club provides a supportive environment where players can grow, compete, and enjoy their basketball every Saturday.

Hi Blazers Families,

Team selections for the Winter 2026 season are coming up next week!

These sessions help us place players into teams where they can develop, enjoy their basketball, and contribute positively to their team environment.

Selections are an important part of maintaining balanced teams across the club and giving every player the opportunity to grow throughout the season.

📅 Team Selection Schedule
Monday 9 February
U9 Girls – 4:45pm–5:30pm | Balwyn High School - Court 2
U11 boys – 5:45pm–8:30pm | Balwyn High School – Court 3

Tuesday 10 February
U13 Girls – 5:00pm–7:00pm | Boroondara Sports Complex – Courts 4–5

Wednesday 11 February
U11 Girls – 4:30pm–6:30pm | Balwyn High School – Courts 1–2•
U13 Boys – 5:00pm–7:00pm | Boroondara Sports Complex – Courts 4–5

Thursday 12 February
U9 Boys – 4:00pm–5:00pm | Balwyn High School

Please arrive 10–15 minutes early for check-in and warm-up.

Selections are based on a range of factors including skill level, game understanding, attitude, teamwork, and coach ability. Our goal is always to place players in an environment where they can continue developing and enjoying their basketball.

Returning & New players to attend first session.

If your child is unable to attend their scheduled session, please notify the club as soon as possible.

We look forward to seeing all players on court and beginning preparations for another fantastic Blazers season.
