Watching your child grow in confidence and ability is one of the most exciting parts of their swimming journey, and now it’s even easier to keep track of their achievements!

Using your SimplySwim Parent Portal, you can:

✅ View your child’s current level
✅ Track skill progression
✅ See which skills have been achieved
✅ Identify the next skills they’re working towards
✅ Follow their journey through our swim program

Swimming progression isn’t always about moving levels quickly. Sometimes the biggest achievements are the confidence, independence, and water safety skills being built along the way. 🌊🐳

We encourage all families to log in regularly and celebrate the milestones your little swimmer is reaching. Every new skill mastered is a step towards becoming a safer, stronger, and more confident swimmer.

There will be no swimming lessons running today, and our team will be enjoying a well-deserved day with their families and friends.

Just a friendly reminder to all our Little Swimmers families that we are OPEN as usual throughout the long weekend, with lessons running on Saturday and Sunday as scheduled 💦

Please note that we will be CLOSED on Monday for the King’s Birthday Public Holiday.

❄️ Summer Teachers Are Made in Winter ☀️

While the weather might be cooling down, things are heating up behind the scenes at Little Swimmers Swim School! 💦

We currently have 4 new shadow teachers completing their swim teacher shadow hours with us, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome them to the team.

So, what are shadow hours? 🤔

Shadow hours are an important part of a swim teacher’s training journey. During this time, our new teachers work alongside experienced instructors, observing lessons, learning class management techniques, understanding skill progressions, developing water safety knowledge, and gaining hands-on experience in delivering high-quality swimming lessons.

It’s a valuable opportunity for them to build confidence, develop their teaching skills, and learn what makes a great swim teacher before stepping into their own classes.

We’re proud to invest the time into mentoring and supporting our future teachers because we know that confident, knowledgeable instructors create confident, capable swimmers. 🌊

Keep an eye out around the pool as you may see our shadow teachers learning alongside our team. They are progressing beautifully and will soon be ready to take on classes of their own!

This afternoon, some of our Little Swimmers Swim School teachers completed additional online professional development with AUSTSWIM, continuing to expand their knowledge and skills in aquatic education.

Because being a great swim teacher is about more than teaching strokes — it’s about understanding children, building confidence, creating safe learning environments, and always striving to be better. 🌊

We want our families to feel reassured knowing that behind every lesson is a team dedicated to ongoing learning, development, and delivering the highest quality experience possible for your little swimmers. 🐳

Hayley, thank you for your dedication, kindness, patience, and the incredible care you show every child and family who walks through our doors. Your ability to make children feel safe, confident, and supported in the water is something truly special, and we are so lucky to have you as part of our team.

For the past 8 years, you’ve poured so much love and hard work into Little Swimmers, and the impact you’ve had on so many little swimmers and families does not go unnoticed 🌊✨

Now… one thing we *do* need to work on is getting more photos of you 😂 After 8 years, somehow we only managed to find a handful! A true behind-the-scenes queen 📸🤣

Quality Teaching in Every Lesson! 🏊✨

We love seeing our students thrive under the guidance of our incredible instructors. Recently, our toddler teachers, Kimberley and Lea, shared a wonderful moment during their lessons at our centre.

The feedback for both has been outstanding: "The time they both give to each child is amazing, and the effort they put in to ensure every child is corrected and taught correctly is fantastic.
