Rohan and I first met while I was a PT at the gym he trained at. We had a few chats in passing and he realised he was not making the most of his time and effort in the gym. As a typical high-achiever, this did not sit well with him; why be average when you can be excellent?? πŸ’₯
Aware of my extensive education and experience as a coach (having won bodybuilding contests and transformed other guys at his gym), we got to work and our results in the first 9 months speak for themselves! (May β€˜23, 82kg) - Feb ’24, 80kg) πŸ”₯πŸ™ŒπŸΌ

Rohan trained 4-5 days per week, was in the final year of his law degree, worked 2 part time jobs and maintained a healthy social life! He’s a smart bloke but didn’t have the time to read everything about nutrition, training, and recovery, let alone troubleshoot & effectively apply it. πŸ’‘So he did what any smart man would do; he leveraged my knowledge & experience to start seeing results from Week 1!πŸ«±πŸΌβ€πŸ«²πŸ½

πŸ‹πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈI drew up a new training program; eradicating all the junk volume and correcting for muscular imbalances.
🍽️I cleaned up his diet; giving him more food with better micronutrient spread and he started changing quickly. Once we cleared off the excess fat, I bulked him up to 90kg in 18 weeks followed by a 12 week cut to get him lean enough for the next growth phase. πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ

The best reason to hire a nutrition/health coach is to improve your length and quality of life. The second best reason is to SAVE TIME!! ⏳Most guys spend years in the gym getting minimal return on their investment. It’s frustrating for them to experience, and sad for me to witness! If you’re already going to the gym and eating, you may as well put in that extra 10% for a 10x return!! πŸ“ˆ

Rohan made more progress in 9 months than most guys make years, without contemplating the use of SARMS, steroids, or cutting out entire food groups πŸš«πŸ’Š. When I first met Chris he was coming towards the end of a HUGE fat loss journey and wanted to put on some muscle. Using sheer discipline and an understanding of calorie deficit, he dieted off 40 kilos!! βš–οΈ An impressive effort, though this wasn't the first time he was forced to train his grit… Overcoming multiple surgeries that had him re-learning to walk as a teen, Chris has a resilience of mind that most men would envy. The more he told me about himself in our first consult, the more certain I was that we would produce something special! He was someone who could see the value in focussing on the light at the end of the tunnel, knowing the journey would be worth it. These are the easiest clients to work with. The fact that Chris asked a million questions and was constantly learning along the way was a bonus! πŸ€“πŸš€

Anyone who has done both will tell you that building muscle is significantly harder than burning fat. Bodybuilding (any physique sculpting) is incredibly resource intensive and requires a great deal of time, training, nutritional consistency, quality sleeps, routines, massages, active recovery sessions, food, gym memberships, new clothes, supplements, etc. Even though we had some fused & arthritic joints to work with, some postural alignment to fix, and some more fat to lose, I knew we could do it if we stayed on the same page. As you can see, that's just what happened! 😁 πŸ’ͺ🏼

Like all of my clients, Chris continues to grow professionally, financially and socially. I'm proud to see him sharing his knowledge with his friends and the younger guys at his gym and becoming an ambassador in his own right. Michael first approached me in the gym in 2020 while I was dieting for a bodybuilding contest. He had lots of questions about how I train and eat to make such rapid changes. πŸ’ͺ🏼 Although he was strong and trained hard, as I answered his questions he quickly realised he was leaving a lot of variables out of control, and a lot of muscle on the table. Coming from a medical background himself, he understood & appreciated the efficiency of treating his physique transformation as a scientific process. One where we could control all the variables, and actually produce the results he had been hoping for in the past few years of training. πŸ€“
We got to work quickly, overhauling his nutritional and training programs, teaching him the finer points of difference along the way. The more he learnt, the better he was at executing the plans I laid out. Go figure. 🀯
I perfected Michael's training technique through PT sessions over the first phase, with face to face sessions becoming less frequent as his skills developed.πŸš€

Before long, Michael saw his physique changing rapidly and set his eyes on the bodybuilding stage. But he wasn't ready. To hold your own on a bodybuilding stage, you can't just be beach lean. You can't just be photoshoot lean. You can't just be Instagram lean. You need to be sickly shredded, or the bright lights will expose you as fat! (I know, I've been there)
To save him from that anti-climax, I devised a 2 year plan using the first year as a "practice run" and we dieted him down for a photoshoot which was a blast to do together!
This gave us the chance to analyse his weak points and work on them before dialling it in for the stage in 2023. I'm so proud of Michael's effort and commitment over the past 3 years, claiming 4 podium finishes (1st x2, 3rd x2). πŸ₯‡πŸ₯‰πŸ† In his debut season!
