Noa has made such an amazing transformation since joining our Jellyfish class! 🪼 When he first started, he wasn’t comfortable going underwater or wearing goggles — but look at him now! 👏🥹

Noa has built so much confidence, recently putting his goggles on and now happily going underwater to collect a sinky! 🤿💦

After an incredible 6 years with AQUA, it’s time to say goodbye to our wonderful Amy! 🥹🌊

Amy’s AQUA journey is one we’ll always be so proud of. She first joined us as a parent, before becoming a Swimming Instructor, Customer Service Officer and eventually Duty Manager! 🏊‍♀️✨ Watching her grow and take on so many different roles within our AQUA family has been truly special.

Thank you, Amy, for 6 years of dedication, kindness, hard work and countless memories. You’ve made such a positive impact on our students, families and team, and you’ll certainly be missed around the pool! 💙

🏊‍♀️💦 THE SWIMMING JOURNEY 💦🏊‍♂️

Learning to swim doesn’t happen overnight, it’s a journey made up of lots of little stages, with each stage building on the one before it. 🩵

🐠 STAGE 1 — WATER CONFIDENCE
It all starts with feeling comfortable and confident in the water. This includes learning to enter the water, control their breathing, put their face under and develop trust in their teacher.

🌊 STAGE 2 — WATER SAFETY FOUNDATIONS
Once confidence grows, swimmers begin developing essential safety skills like floating independently, returning to a standing position and learning safe entries and exits.

🏊 STAGE 3 — WATER COMPETENCY
Swimmers start putting their skills together by swimming independently, coordinating their breathing and movement, learning to tread water and building their endurance.

⭐ STAGE 4 — STROKE DEVELOPMENT
As swimmers progress, they begin refining their technique across freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke, while working towards butterfly foundations and becoming more efficient in the water.

Every child is different, and every swimming journey looks different. 🩵 Some swimmers progress quickly, while others need more time and repetition and that’s completely okay!

Our goal is to help every swimmer build confidence, develop essential water safety skills and celebrate every milestone along the way. 🌟

Millán has been chosen as our Student of the Week for his awesome independence in the water and the massive improvement he has made in his confidence! 🌊👏
