Please vote Sean Wellman in the upcoming Essendon Football Club 2020 election.
I am passionate about the Essendon Football Club returning to sustained on field success. I remain committed to this and ‘seeing it through’ by ensuring that we are ambitious and have the right people, support and strategy to make this happen.
We are coming off a very disappointing season and I understand that many of our members are angry and frustrated. I have been heavily involved in a post season football department review with our President Paul Brasher so I understand the landscape and where and how we will improve.
Professional sport and the AFL can be a roller coaster ride, as opposed to life on the merry-go-round. However, as a football club we need to continue to be objective and make the right decisions that are going to take us closer to our next Premiership. I am committed to these decisions and fully supporting our new Senior coach Ben Rutten by ensuring he has the right support to challenge and win our seventeenth premiership.
