🖤💛❤️ INDIGENOUS ROUND 2026 — CELEBRATING CULTURE, COMMUNITY & CONNECTION
Over the weekend our club had the privilege of sharing and celebrating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture across Waddawurrung and Boon Wurrung Country with local clubs, Werribee Bears & Altona Roosters
We opened the day at Werribee Bears with an Acknowledgement of Country, sharing the importance of paying respect to the Traditional Owners of the land, followed by our young girls performing a beautiful cultural dance.
Throughout the day our team hosted a cultural knowledge stall, sharing stories about place, Country, Aboriginal technologies, and the deep history held within our lands. Families and players came through the clubhouse to learn, yarn and connect with local knowledge.
Later we travelled to Altona on Boon Wurrung Country, where Vice-President Benny spent time with the Senior Men’s team, sharing cultural knowledge and artefacts a reminder that our history is living, powerful and carried through community.
Rugby league is a vessel for bringing people together, and we’re proud to use our platform to share culture, celebrate identity, and strengthen our community.

A special shout out to the local clubs who acknowledged Indigenous round in their own ways too!!! Truly a special Indigenous round for us this year.
