Thanks to all who attended the Auskick U7’s presentation yesterday. We had huge numbers which was a great way to end an amazing year. Thanks to the Valencic family for making the pennants for the kids. They made and printed every single letter on each of the 64 kids pennants which is a massive job!

If you’d like to volunteer in any capacity in under 8’s or Auskick next year please reach out to Boothy on 0433 599 690.

We need an Auskick co-ordinator/s, Auskick coaches, a girls under 8’s coach and team manager. Next year we will be entering 2 boys (mixed) and 1 girls side in the under 8’s competition.

That’s a wrap for 2026! Well done to the 70 under 7’s kids who participated in this years carnival. Thanks again to all coaches, team managers and umpires who helped facilitate our 5 sides. We were the equal largest club in the program this year and had the most female participants which is incredible. It was an absolute blast with many kids discovering their love for the game of footy over the past 4 weeks.

Our club is going from strength to strength and we can’t wait to see what next year has in store for our Auskick, junior and senior programs.

The past 2 weeks our Auskicker’s have participated in the under 7’s carnival at Le Page reserve. There’s 2 Friday sessions coming up at our home deck at Highett from 5pm until 7pm. Come down and show your support!

I’d like to thank everyone who has contributed and make this years Auskick so successful. We had 175 kids registered with around 200 kids coming through in total.

Thanks to Jay, Jacinta, Abbey, Troy, Jase etc who set up Auskick the past few years which led it to what it is today.

Thanks to Jay, Jacinta and Abbey who did so much work behind the scenes this year as well.

Thanks to Carmel and Sarah for taking attendance, handing out stickers, first aid, giving out info etc.

Thanks to the coaches from each age group who gave up so much of their time. Stew (grade 1 and Wednesdays), Patto (grade 1), James and Scratcher (Prep), Adrian (Kinder), Bryce (kinder), Max (girls) and thanks to Ben McDougall who would take the girls whenever the times didn’t clash with his under 8 girls teams.

Thanks to James who would ride his bike down to help out on a Wednesday night.

Thanks to the senior players who came down on a Sunday morning to help out and when they made the kids feel special at the half time grid games.

Thank you to the parents who jumped on a cone, a bag or got involved in the parent vs kids games. When AFL Victoria attended they were impressed with the parent involvement we had with our sessions.

Lastly thanks to my wife Em for allowing me the time to run the program and look after our 1 year old during the sessions.

It’s very rewarding volunteering in kids sports and we’re looking for coaches and coordinators for next year for anyone who wants to get involved.

We’ve registered 5 teams into the under 7’s carnival starting next week making us one of the biggest clubs in the state which is a huge achievement.

Our last session is this Sunday. We are still after some volunteers to run the bbq. Please reach out if you can turn some sausages for our last session!
