East Bentleigh Central Cricket Club (EBCCC) is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Junior Coach / Senior Men’s Training Coordinator for the upcoming cricket season.

We’re looking for someone who can help us build consistency, develop player skills and create a positive training environment across our junior and senior programs.

Role Responsibilities

Juniors – Tuesdays

•⁠ ⁠Coach and coordinate training for our 3 junior teams
•⁠ ⁠Approximately 15 players attending training
•⁠ ⁠Training time flexible: 4:30pm–6:30pm or 5:00pm–7:00pm

Senior Men – Wednesdays

•⁠ ⁠Coordinate and run training for our 5 senior men’s teams
•⁠ ⁠Approximately 25–30 players attending training
•⁠ ⁠Training from 5:00pm to approximately 7:30pm–8:00pm

What We’re Looking For

•⁠ ⁠Coaching experience, particularly with junior and/or senior players
•⁠ ⁠Strong cricket knowledge and understanding of player development
•⁠ ⁠Ability to plan and deliver structured, engaging training sessions
•⁠ ⁠Good communication and leadership skills
•⁠ ⁠Someone who can bring energy, consistency and professionalism to our programs
•⁠ ⁠Relevant playing experience is highly regarded

Remuneration

Remuneration will be negotiated and determined based on the successful candidate’s experience, qualifications and the overall scope of the role.

This is a great opportunity to become part of a welcoming and ambitious cricket club and make a genuine impact across both our junior and senior programs.

The recent Australia 🇦🇺 vs Bangladesh 🇧🇩 Test showed that even elite cricketers need time to find their rhythm.

Batting not quite clicking. Bowling missing a bit of its usual fire.

And that's the point…

🦅 EBCC Falcons… be honest.

It feels pretty good looking back, doesn't it? 😏

The 2025–26 scorebook is open again. 📖🏏

Runs were scored.
Wickets were taken.
Some Saturdays were very productive.
And a few opposition batters probably would've preferred a quiet weekend. 😂

But the numbers aren't the whole story.

💙💛 Our juniors stood shoulder to shoulder with the seniors.

🏏 Our Women’s team continued making their mark.

👏 Our seniors led by example.

And behind every run, wicket and catch were coaches, volunteers, families and supporters helping make it happen.

That's the EBCCC family.

So yes…

2025–26 was a pretty cracking summer.

🏏🦅 EBCC FALCONS, THE WAIT IS ALMOST OVER!

The off-season is winding down. The cricket bats are coming out. And that mysterious thing called fitness is about to make an appearance. 😂

But here's the good news...

Don't think. Just come down.

We're all in the same boat... if you know what I mean. 😏🚣‍♂️

Maybe your winter involved a few extra desserts. Maybe your cricket whites haven't seen daylight since March. Maybe your body currently has the conditioning of a Sunday afternoon in front of the TV.

Who cares?

Pre-season isn't about turning up already match-fit. It's about turning up and getting there together.

🏏 Shake off the winter rust.
