COLLINGWOOD PREVIEW
The Gun 🔫
Nick Daicos $631.4k MID
Off the back of a stellar 2024 campaign averaging 117.2 ppg which included 18 out of a possible 23 games with at least 100 points and 10 scores of 130+, Daicos once again looks to be a top prospect and safe captain choice in SuperCoach 2025.
However, injuries have plagued Daicos in the past resulting in poor scores and even missing games altogether. In addition to injury, Daicos has consistently received attention from other teams and must find a way to beat the tag if he wishes to improve upon his SuperCoach average in 2025. These risks are something that SuperCoachers will have to take into account when deciding whether to select Daicos in SuperCoach 2025 as a MID only losing his dual position DEF status.
Prediction: 115 average ✅
The Mid Pricer 🤔
Harry Perryman $417.5k DEF
After an offseason move to the Pies, Perryman looks to be an interesting choice for Supercaochers as an alternative mid priced option. An average of 75.5 in 2024 and only 1 score of 100+ may be a deterrent to some, but the upside potential may be worth the risk. Perryman did not record a CBA in 2024 with the Giants. Collingwood is in need of more midfield power and depth and Perryman could offer just that despite training in preseason as a wingman where he has played majority of his career thus far. If he can see consistent CBA action, it will be hard to not see him improving upon his average from 2024.
Prediction: 80 average ❌
The Rookie 💰
Ed Allan $194.0k MID
Allan has only played 2 AFL games but posted a Supercoach score of 94 with 65% CBA in the last game of the 2024 season against Melbourne which has SuperCoachers excited for his future. Scott Pendlebury has expressed his praise in particular for Allan over the preseason eluding to a greater role for the big bodied midfielder in 2025. Allan may not see an immediate start in the Pies engine room and may even pose a sub risk but could potentially be a nice downgrade option early into the season.
Prediction: 55 average ⚠️
