I’ve been involved in gymnastics (literally) since before I was born. I was a gymnast for 20+ years and have been coaching for 11 years and counting. I love how gymnastics has so many incredible benefits for everyone involved from the amazing physical skills to life-long friendships. I also believe that gymnastics offers amazing opportunities to open the conversation about mental health, which is

more important than ever. I have battled with my own mental health issues for a number of years and I’m ready to do something more to help raise awareness. So here we are; I’ve now combined my passion for gymnastics and mental health advocacy to create something I believe is going to be truly wonderful. The Cartwheel Collective is here to be the next big thing in gymnastics merchandise with a range of unique artworks produced by both myself, and artists from around the world. I believe there are limited gymnastics merchandise options for teenagers and adults who love gymnastics, which is why The Cartwheel Collective will feature artwork in on-trend styles such as minimalistic, single line drawings, retro. You will be able to purchase these artworks printed onto a range of high-quality clothing with a gorgeous colour range aimed at a more mature audience (think naturals, mustard, olive, rose - swoon, right?!). The merchandise range will also include stunning glass drink bottles and statement vinyl stickers with plans to expand the range in the coming months. The Cartwheel Collective is expanding to include routine and choreography services!

✨ New optional floor routines
✨ Teaching of ALP compulsory routines
✨ Basic dance and movement workshops

For those who don’t know me, I’m Emily and I’m an Advanced Silver WAG coach in my 16th year of coaching and choreographing. I am currently offering floor routine choreography as well as help with teaching the ALP compulsory routines. I’ve always had a passion for choreography and I love creating routines that look great while also providing opportunities for the gymnast to challenge themselves. I also enjoy working with coaches to help implement small changes into their current programs that can make a big difference in setting your routines apart.

A bit about me;
✨ Advanced Silver WAG coach
✨ Over 10 years experience in teaching compulsory ALP routines
✨ Over 15 years experience of choreographing optional routines; including a number of Senior routines, one of which has been competed internationally!
✨ Experience with a number of industry experts where I have developed a strong knowledge of the artistry requirements and deductions, routine creation and music theory
✨ Over 20 years of my own gymnastics and dance training

This is the time of year we look forward to all the things we want to achieve in the next year. So let’s take a minute to be proud of things we did this year!

Here are some things I’m proud of this year:

🤸🏼‍♀️ Achieving 99% on my FIG 2 course.

🏠 Finishing our house renovation (well, the inside at least).

🏋🏼‍♀️ Getting back into a strength training routine (and actually enjoying it!)

🐶 All the training I did with my reactive doggie (he’s trying so hard!)

🧠 I think I’m most proud of the work I put into managing my ADHD and anxiety with lots of different techniques which I can feel is making a big impact on my life.

I’d love to hear some of the things you’re proud of from this year. Maybe it’s a new skill, or maybe you just made it through the year - whatever it is, it’s worth being proud of 🫶🏻
