Nrityakavya School of Dance Nrityakavya is a school to learn the Indian Classical dance form of Bharatanatyam from basics. The style followed is Thanjavur Bani. Anyone can learn to dance.

Kids from the age of 6yrs are welcome to join. Also any willing adults are welcome to join. About the Teacher
My name is Kavita Krishnamurthy. I am a disciple of Guru Jayashankar Menon and undergone training in Bharatanatyam for over 20 years. During these years of training, I have participated in various stage performances including “NARAYANEEYAM”, an event sponsored by the Department of Culture,

Government of India where I had the privilege to perform with my Guruji and
performances for many delegates & International conferences including performances at Chamba, Himachal Pradesh and at various forums in Delhi. I have had the privilege to be part of a recital based on Thiru.Thiyagaraja’s “Ghana Raaga Pancharatna Kritis” which was a “Tribute to Thiyagaraja” presented by
the senior students of Guruji. I had been teaching Bharatanatyam for over 4 years. I had the opportunity to choreograph and present a “MARGAM”
on the occasion of her Guruji’s “SHASHTIPOORTHI”. I have been conferred as a Grade “B” Artist by Doordarshan.
