Another great day on the squash court! 🏆

Max and I headed down to Mulgrave Country Club for his Bronze Junior Tournament, and what a fantastic effort he put in.

He played 3 matches, winning 2 and losing 1, which earned him Runner-Up in Division 6. 🥈

I’m incredibly proud of the way Max competed all day. His confidence continues to grow, and it’s great to see all of his hard work paying off. Every tournament is another step forward, and today was another excellent result.

Well done, Max! Keep enjoying the journey and working hard—the results will continue to come. 👏💪🎾

Well, that’s a wrap for this year’s Annual Masters Junior Tournament!

Max and I competed at the tournament held at the Westerfolds Squash Centre and were fortunate enough to finish the weekend undefeated in Division 10. The divisions are graded based on the ability of the junior player, making for some very competitive matches.

The format consisted of the Junior playing Junior, the Master playing Master, followed by a Doubles match.

Max played exceptionally well throughout the tournament, losing only one game for the entire event. His improvement week after week has been fantastic to watch, and his confidence on court continues to grow.

I couldn’t be prouder of my kids for picking up a racquet sport and adapting to it so quickly. The effort, commitment, and willingness to learn they show every week make all the hard work worthwhile.

A great weekend of squash, great sportsmanship, and plenty of fun. Well done, Max!

After taking a season away from the game, Olivia has made an outstanding return to squash.

She was selected to represent East Gippsland in the Hopman Cup and delivered a brilliant performance across the two days of competition, remaining undefeated and winning all of her matches in straight sets.

A fantastic effort and a great reward for the hard work and commitment she has put in.

Events like the 2026 Gippsland Open don’t happen without club members support! There’sa large amount of input from everyone. Thank you all for washing the walls, running the event, catering, setting up, packing up, cooking the bbq, running the raffle and doing the speeches.

All competitors were grateful for being welcomed, meeting new friendly faces and having a clean environment to hang out in. Bring on 2027 it promises to be even bigger!
