From little things, big things grow 🌱⚽
On Saturday night, Joseph “Joe” Dlask reached a special milestone, making his FQPL3 Men’s debut in the starting line up, and sharing the moment on field alongside his brother, Alex Dlask 💙
From his earliest days in Wanderers colours, Joe was a standout. An award-winning junior, he claimed the U12 Premier Golden Boot at the Mackay Regional Football Zone Awards and was recognised as Mackay Wanderers Junior Player of the Year that same year. He proudly represented the club at regional tournaments, including the prestigious John Bomben Carnival in Cairns.
Despite strong interest from rival clubs over the years, Joe stayed loyal, because at heart, he was always a Wanderer.
His journey continued with Magpies Crusaders, where his talent was further developed (when he wasn’t out chasing waves 🌊), leading him to this deserved opportunity at senior level.
Saturday night’s debut alongside his brother adds another chapter to the Dlask family legacy. A name which has become deeply woven into the fabric of the club, with Alex a former MWFC Senior Player of the Year award winner and Madeleine representing the club through the Football Queensland Academy.
👏 A proud moment for Joe, his family, and the Wanderers community. Congratulations, Joe!
