Lalor parkrun

Lalor parkrun Lalor parkrun is a free, timed, 5km run / walk put on by the community for the community at 8am every Saturday morning in Lalor, Victoria.

parkrun is not a race against other runners, but a 5km timed run, jog or walk. It can really be whatever you want it to be, whether that's for fun or as part of a training plan. Lalor parkrun offers an opportunity for all members of our local community, male or female, young or old, to come together on a regular basis to enjoy our beautiful gardens and get physically active in the process. Hey parkrunners!

We need some cheeky volunteers to help us keep the fun rolling this week!

Barcode Scanner Ninja: Are you quick with a scanner and even quicker with a wink? Help us zap those barcodes and make sure no runner escapes without their stats!

Finish Tokeneer: Hand out those finish tokens like they’re gold stars!

*FILLED* Event Course Check Daredevil: Put on your explorer hat and check the course for any sneaky hazards! It’s like a treasure hunt, but with fewer pirates

Snap Happy Photographer: Grab your camera and capture the chaos. We want shots that scream “look at us, we’re fabulous!”

Join the fun and earn some serious bragging rights! If you’re up for any of these roles, give us a shout. Let’s make this week a cheeky blast!

The drizzly morning, on the eve of the winter solstice, did not dampen the spirits of the 48 people who ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 7 were first timers and 6 recorded new Personal Bests. Well done all! We welcomed a few visitors, including from Wildflower in Sydney, Birdsland Reserve, Mernda, Studley, Westerfolds, Brimbank, Newport Lakes, plus a few more! Representatives of 8 different clubs took part.

Massive congratulations to Chris, who celebrated his 250th milestone run today, with his family who came along for support! That's 1250km of countless Saturday mornings and dedication, since he started his first one back in 2018! 🎉🎉🎉
