The Mark Freeman 8Ball Tribute Comp held on 8th August attracted 18 players who fronted the tables at the Barron Falls Hotel.

Competition was fierce but friendly and a fitting homage to Mark.

Robert Munster won the day with Tim Riley 2nd and a commendable 3rd was Shane McMahon. Congratulations guys!

A big shout out and thankyou to sponsors Mareeba Trophies and The She Shed who donated engraved medallions along with artwork and mounting Mark's 'Vestal Virgin' cue and case on a silky oak slab purchased and donated by Chris Murphy as a perpetual trophy.

Thankyou also to others who assisted in making this inaugural event such a success.

Mark Freeman's Celebration of Life will be held in Kuranda Centenary Park, Therwine Street, at 3:30 this coming Tuesday, 21 July 2026 with Bonnie Harris leading the ceremony. Drinks at the Top Pub will follow.
The Round Robin pool comp will occur Saturday 8th August 11am sharp at the Top Pub.
